Synopsis
Two years after a catastrophic highway accident stole his wife and daughter, Mumbai resident Rajeev exists in a state of quiet, agonizing grief. A good man beloved by his community, his life is now defined by solitude—until midnight, when a new email arrives from a sender named "Anonymous Death."
The message is an initiation into a terrifying, personalized reality game. The rules are simple and chilling: Rajeev must face a series of sudden, horrifying events and make choices under duress. The wrong move promises a catastrophic "loss."
His first test is immediate: he's warned he will hear an unsettling whisper from his kitchen in the deep night.
The book follows Rajeev as he is forced to play this sinister game, with each chapter bringing a new, escalating challenge that tests his nerve and sanity. The future events will move beyond simple sounds, forcing him into a deadly sequence of choices that involve betrayal, psychological manipulation, and possibly physical danger, all orchestrated by the invisible antagonist to weaponize his deep-seated sorrow. Rajeev must decide whether to play along or fight back, all while trying to uncover the identity of the person using his past tragedy as the ultimate weapon.

Hey, I just finished reading your story and honestly the whole thing was pretty much playing in my head. The vibes you created are no joke, it felt ready to jump out of the pages. I’m a commission artist, and I do comics, manga, and webtoons for authors who want to see their work visualized. And no exaggeration, your story has the potential to be a hit as a webtoon. No pressure, but if you wanna see your words turn into visuals, I would be delighted to do it. Hit me up on Discord (eve_verse) to discuss further. Regards, Evelyn
