It's just that my relationship with Nolan Harrington wasn't public yet.

Zara Lockhart tried again to talk me into confronting Oscar Sterling with her. I turned her down once more, and she sighed.

"Alright, fine. Then how about going out tonight? We haven't hung out in ages. Drinks are on me!"

I had nothing else to do, so I agreed.

Zara picked the place.

She arrived before me.

When I saw the hotel in front of me, I felt puzzled.

"Didn't you say we were going to a bar? Why are we at a hotel?"

Zara looked a little evasive, pulling me inside by the arm.

"It's late. Bars aren't safe at night. What if we get drunk and something happens? A nice, proper hotel is better. We'll have some snacks, relax—it'll be great!"

Zara dragged me inside.

The moment the lobby doors swung open, my expression darkened.

This was the hotel where Oscar Sterling's engagement was being held.

On stage, they were already at the ring exchange segment.
