Why does his status as a Durmstrang student trump him being from the pureblood Fawley family? Knowing the Fawleys they may even have someone in the Board of Governors of Hogwarts.

Um Draco almost went to Durmstrang too, so it's common for the sacred 28 to send some of their kids there. He's acting all cookoo because of Harry, isn't he?

He is a Fawley, from one of the sacred 28, so why would Dumbledore think he would have no manners or have socializing skills? It's weird.

He should have said something since he is a Fawley and they were somehow in possession of one of Voldemorts Horcruxes. Someone in the family has to have Dark Magic books/training and is a Death Eater.

Not really, that would just give you ideas about what you can do with magic but not how to do it or even if you have enough magic/talent/etc to accomplish it. I remember that there was an author of science fiction who wrote about cell phones and it wasn't until decades later that we got that Brick of a cell phone, he could imagine it but not create it.
Well, although he was a bit disappointed, this didn't hamper Ethan's drive to master his magic. It wasn't like he had much else to do anyway, and he had already confirmed he had magic.

How ironic, Harry bashing the people who let him down when he himself just waited around to be protected from Voldemort. That's what always made me suspicious of Harry being the Hero; knowing that Voldemort is still alive, that many of his powerful Death Eaters are not in Azkaban, prisoners CAN escape from Azkaban, and many other slaps to his face that Voldy is coming back and wants him DEAD, and he does the most minimum he can to learn magic, when he knows that magic is the only thing that will save him. I'm starting to believe that weak Horcrux he possesses may have subconsciously brainwashed him over time since infancy because no normal person with a knife hanging over their heads would act like Harry.
And it wasn't like things went any better after the school. He was back with a teacher that did her best to destroy him, including actual torture where he was forced to write lines with his own blood. The other teachers and the headmaster watched ineffectually, but that didn't surprise Harry. Why it should, when the only thing they chose to do was waddle their fingers while he was forced to risk his life again and again. But still, things worsened even further when Dumbledore was kicked out of the post of Headmaster, replaced by the pink toad of the Minister.
