Bab 9: Three Years
Three years had gone by, and with it came big changes for Gloxinia.
Originally only 1 meter in height, he had grown to a height of 1.2 meters. He was still amongst the majority of his peers in terms of height but he knew that he would soon be left behind and become one of the shorter ones.
With a moderate build, he was neither fat nor thin. From an outsider's perspective, he didn't seem particularly strong. Along with his growth, his face had become increasingly handsome, especially his pinkish-red hair that reflected light as if it was the most precious gem in the world.
Although he felt that it was annoying to play with his classmates in class, he still humored them a little bit. There is no real reason as to why, it's just built into him as a person with a human mentality, he needs to be with people and be social to be able to stay happy and out of sadness. Because of this, he was quite popular in his class.
The artial soul class only had a dozen or so students, and six of them had already reached rank 10 soul power other than him. They could already advance from the lowest Soul Master rank of Soul Scholar to the rank of Soul Master. Naturally, they first had to obtain a spirit soul to advance.
In these three years, they had nearly finished their studies at this elementary academy. Once they entered an intermediate academy, they would be divided into their specializations and would attend an academy for their specialization. Glorybound City was a small city. Thus, it didn't have an intermediate Soul Master academy in order to enroll in an intermediate academy in a medium sized city, one was required to have a spirit soul.
In these three years, only 7 people have been able to gain the qualification to enroll in an intermediate academy so far.
This of course includes Gloxinia. His cultivation speed had shocked his teacher and classmates. Even though they were aware he had innate rank 10 soul power, it was still extremely shocking to see how high he went in only 3 years.
He had already reached rank 28 and entered Soul Grandmaster from Soul Master.
His second spirit soul was another 10-year spirit soul that was given to him by the school. It was called the Devious Jagged Wasp.
It gave him a second spirit ring with the ability to turn Basquias into a huge bee-like insect. It had 10 glowing eyes of varying sizes on its face and 3 pairs of arms on each side of his upper chest. On its back, it had 2 wings with shield-like wing protectors on the back. Finally, on its lower half it had a small torso that went into a big lump of flesh that was connected to a huge needle.
As for his progress on missions, he unfortunately didn't complete any of the yearly missions until the second year.
For daily missions, they were usually pretty simple and only gave some bonus cultivation or physique.
One of the yearly missions he had completed in his second year was the Soul Grandmaster mission, but, it's reward was taken down a notch because if he wanted to continue it he had to let the reward drop in quality.
Thus, instead of Fairy King's Meditation Method, he obtained Fairy's Meditation Method.
As for the other yearly mission completed, that was a mission that he got after he let the Spirit Sea Realm mission and the Defeat 1000 Soul Masters mission refresh.
The missions he obtained from that were:

In all honesty, Gloxinia had thought that he would've been able to easily finish the Fashion Guru mission. But, surprisingly, it was even harder than making an impression on Na'er! He had completely no idea how to start and couldn't find anyone to teach him. After all, this is real life there's just no chance for a master to suddenly show up and teach him when he needs it.
As for the Get in her head mission, it was actually quite easy. He simply went up to the park where Na'er and Wulin play at usually and walked by them while saying, "Wow, sure smells a lot like a spear near here."
This most likely caused her to start thinking about if she was found out or if people could smell her, which also caused her to leave Wulin earlier than in the story so as to not drag him into danger if someone else who is stronger than Gloxinia can sense her.
On the night she was leaving, Gloxinia secretly placed a letter in an obvious place in front of the window she would climb out of.
The front of the letter had in big bold letters saying, "To: Na'er, From: Gloxinia" on it.
Noticing the letter, Na'er cautiously walked towards it and opened it. Inside the letter, was a note. The note said;
"Dear Na'er,
You may not know who I am but I have long sensed your peculiarity. Most people don't know this because I've never used it but, my first spirit ring lets me transform my blanket into a spear.
While I was walking around the park for excersise, I felt a familiarity coming from deep within my martial soul from you, thus I decided to see if the feeling could get stronger.
Results are, it indeed can. The feeling got even stronger as I changed my blanket into a spear. Thus, leading me to infer that you have a spear martial soul!
I also accidentally overheard you speaking to Wulin about leaving, and left this here so you would know that I won't tell anyone you awakened your martial soul before 6!

Gloxinia had thought for a long time before deciding what to write down, as it would definitely impact and change the future and he didn't really want to change it too much before even starting the first "main" arc.
So, he wrote that he only thought she used a spear and nothing about actually being a spear herself.
And in the end, his letter managed to work and got in her head as the mission speciified so he obtained the reward for it, the Head Key.
The Head Key is a key that has a very peculiar look. It's handle is connected to a small head-like shape that has small details such as empty holes where the eyes would usually go and also slight textures of the cerebral nervous system.
The Head Key can be used by inserting it on the back of your neck. When doing this, a clone of yourself will appear and something that is similar to a door or an actual door that represents what you hold important will show up.
Going through this door will take a person to their mindscape. Here, emotions are personified and can talk and move around.
But, the biggest perk of the Head Key is that you are able to rewatch anything you've ever lived through. This includes memories that have long been forgotten, you just need to find which one you want to watch.
Finally, the Head Key also has a function of automatically giving you knowledge about what you put inside. For example, if you place a book inside you would now know that book like the back of your hand. The only exception to this would be living beings.
But, it also has a crucial weakness, while inisde your head, if the key falls off or someones takes it out you could end up stuck inside and lose brain functions in your body, essentially making you, brain-dead.
For this reason, Gloxinia has never used the key for too long, and if he has used it it's to simply relive some of his memories of the novel so he knows the future a little better. He also likes to open the door of his head whilst staying out so he can listen to music from earth while ensuring he stays safe.
Anyway, other than the Head Key, he also obtained the Fairy Meditation Method for doing the Soul Grandmaster quest.
The Fairy Meditation Method is very powerful and can greatly upgrade his cultivation speed.
For example, before he obtained the Fairy Meditation Method, it took him 1 year and 10 months to get from rank 10 to rank 20 in soul power. But, after obtaining the Fairy Meditation Method, he went from rank 20 to rank 28 in a little less that 1 year and 2 months.

Seeing the new missions which are all clearly much easier than the last times, Gloxinia looked outside and noticed it was already about to be night.
Deciding to sleep early today, Gloxinia goes to his bed, lays down, and sleeps.
