Bab 154: A Gift To Redeem

He took out the briefcase and looked at it again before he put it inside the paper bag. That's when Elleard saw two more items inside the bag. One was a leather belt and a wallet.

"Is this for me too?" Elleard took out the belt and asked Elena. She nodded with a beaming face, happy to see Elleard seem to appreciate her gifts. 

She said, "I think they matched well. I mean this bag and the belt. What do you think?"

"Oh, not bad," Elleard said again. He placed the belt on the side table as well. Then, lastly, he took out the wallet with a dragon engraved on the front part. "I like this wallet."

Elena quickly realized that she had mistakenly put the gift for Xavier in the same bag as Elleard's. She was instantly conflicted when she realize now Elleard thought the wallet was for him too.
