Bab 36: Chapter 36: Online
Mute's grueling training continues for many nights and days until eventually, a year passes. With the year finally passing Mute's 15th birthday is here. Null is currently celebrating his birthday in the dungeon however, more important things are happening far away from the mountain range...
Inside a dense forest. Geto could be seen leaning his back against a tree while sitting with his legs crossed. Nanako and Mimiko could be seen sparring in front of him but Geto wasn't paying them any mind instead scrolling through the dark market with a sour look on his face.
He scrolled through the black market using his thumb before he tapped on the screen pulling up Mute's profile. Right under Mute's name is a bar telling him when Mute took his last request. It has been over two years since Mute took a request. Geto stared at the date before shaking his head while facepalming.
" I guess he's really dead. What a shame, he was really useful too. "
Murmured Geto to himself as he let out a big exhale. The loud exhale caught Mimiko and Nanako's attention as they stopped sparring and instead walked towards him. Mimiko quickly asked a question.
"What's wrong Master Geto? You have such an annoyed look on your face. Did we do something to anger you? "
Geto shook his head before he talked responding to Mimiko's question.
" No, I'm just annoyed at the fact that the assassin Mute has disappeared. I had big things planned for next year. He would have been useful. "
Mimiko and Nanako glanced at each other trying to find a way to cheer up Geto until suddenly a huge grin appeared on Geto's face as he happily stared at his phone. Someone has accepted his request.
" Well, would you speak of the devil. "
Said Geto. Mute had appeared online and accepted one of Geto's requests. Back on the mountain range two cloaked figures could be seen. The figures were standing in deep snow as a blizzard stormed down onto their bodies blowing their cloaks wildly. One of the figures was holding a phone before he pressed the screen using his thumb and slid the phone back into his cloak.
" Looks like you finally chose a request you liked. So don't waste my time and hurry up and complete it, brat. It's going to be your first request in years so think of this request as a warm-up. "
Said Null staring at Mute. Mute nodded his head at her before sprinting dashing through the snowy mountain range. He ran past hundreds of birch trees as the snake wrapped around his wrist tightly bit onto its own tail trying its hardest not to fly off.
After running for several minutes, Mute eventually left the mountain range and started to run towards an old town. The request from Geto was a simple one. Kill another politician. Geto sent this request to Mute thinking he wouldn't accept it. Geto was only checking to see if Mute was still alive. Mute walked into an old town.
This town was the politician's birthplace. He was currently staying in this town to spend time with his family. Three guards could be seen outside a raggy wooden house holding onto guns and wearing black suits. The guards' faces were flushed. They were clearly drinking before Mute arrived. Seeing the drunk guards, Mute stopped sprinting and slowly walked towards the house, making sure his footsteps were completely silent.
Mute was around 40 feet away from the guards until suddenly his body vanished and reappeared next to the guards. The guards were startled by his sudden appearance but before they could react a Mute reached out with his right hand and tapped two guards on the chest. They felt a weird energy invade their bodies before their hearts exploded. They drop onto the ground with blood leaking out of their mouths.
The third looks at Mute in horror before he turns around and starts to try to sprint. After running for a minute the guard realizes that his body isn't moving at all. The guard glances back at the cloaked figure before a thin piece of string slashes toward him slicing his head clean off...
