Bab 7: CHAPTER 7: BEING A TESTER AND FAYE’S REQUEST
(A/N First thank you all for the support I'm glad you are enjoying the fanfic so far. I'm going to answer some questions. I'm not sure if this is going to be a harem or not yet. Also when it comes to world travel and the next world it will all be explained when it gets to that point. I think everyone will enjoy it. Like I said I'm open to ideas after the second world. Also the OC will not be OP. Later on he might have OP abilities but they will have drawbacks. Also please leave reviews five star reviews I hope. CHAPTER 7: BEING A TESTER AND FAYE'S REQUEST
The short elf sat down on that same couch that Noctis had just previously sat on.
Lucy stacked a pile of papers together. She coughed "Now let's begin the promotion exam."
Noctis decided to just keep his eyes on the shortie. He was deemed a non threat by him but still he is the observer he should do his job. Before the shortie came in Lucy had told Noctis that the shorties name was Mineta. Noctis felt a chill down his spine when he heard that name. He thought of a purple perverted freak when he heard it. She also told him that Mineta was currently steel rank.
It was hard to believe the freak made it this far but he figured that anyone could survive just on dumb luck.
Noctis then focused back on Mineta. Mineta was rubbing his hands over themselves. "Yes let's start. Let's just skip sapphire and emerald and go straight to ruby."
He then got an excited creepy face "Let's go to bronze even."

Lucy gave what Noctis could only describe as an evil smile but with a sweet voice "No, that's not how it works. Your leather armor and boots seem nice. Those are new right?"
Mineta had a wide smirk and started to act increasingly cocky "I suppose anyone would be able to see the high craftsman ship of my equipment. I had them fitted for me they are perfect."
Noctis was getting annoyed by how this guy was acting but then Lucy asked " How is it that you seem to be doing so well for yourself when the same quests are available for everyone?"
Mineta's eyes widened in shock "Oh…. Well that's uh….. I actually had my family send me some money."
Aria then spoke "That's a lie."
Mineta refuted "No. I would not lie about this."
Aria gave him a glare "I swear on the name of the Supreme God that what you just said was a lie."
Lucy started to go through the reports "It seems that you acquired some new gear after the raid at some ruins the other day."
Noctis pulled out a throwing knife immediately. He stared Mineta down who slightly jump but was then paralyzed by the stare he was receiving.
Noctis thought about killing him right there but Lucy said "Noctis not at the ruins you were at."
Noctis had learned in his time in this world it was considered taboo an extremely bad luck if someone tried to highjack or sneakily take part in a mission. It was also worth killing over if said party stole treasure from the other parties who actually had the quest.
Noctis leaned back in his chair but kept his throwing knife in his right hand. He would occasionally toss it up and catch it.
Lucy smiled and as she talked her voice got more accusing as she turned back to Mineta "I get it though. You told the others that you were going to scout, found some hidden treasure chest, kept it for yourself, and sold the contents!"
Mineta held his hands out in front of him "No no no I would never. ( he then broke and bowed his head) I'm sorry."
Lucy then got very sarcastic "This is truly a problem. This is why scouts get bad names. From guys like you. So many people have prejudice views because of people like you."
Lucy then got very happy "But since it's your first offense we will demote you from steel to porcelain and banning you from using the guild in this town will suffice."
Mineta then stood up in protest "That's seriously messed up. I'm getting kicked out just because I kept treasure to myself?"
Lucy got annoyed and answered in a very condescending tone "Huh? Just? Are you stupid? Those who betray other people's trust do not deserve to be adventurers."
Mineta was getting very annoyed and Noctis could see the anger on his face but Lucy continued "You are here by demoted on the grounds of falsifying a reward."
Mineta turned to Noctis "Come on Noctis you are a fellow adventurer. Can't you help me out?"
Noctis was annoyed "I'm just here to observe. I honestly think you are pathetic. You pretty much stole from your fellow adventurers. If you did that with me around I would have taken one of your hands from you to at least learn a lesson."
Mineta yelled "Damn it!"
He quickly got up. Noctis threw a knife by his head an nicked one of his elf ears. "Just get the fuck out before I tell your adventuring buddies what you did."
Mineta had a scowl on his face as he walked over and slammed over the door yelling "You will regret this."
Lucy giggled "I do not think we will."
Lucy went over to Noctis "Thank you for your time."
Noctis shrugged "No problem he doesn't seem like much probably would have been an easy kill."
Aria was a little shocked "You we're going to kill him?"
Noctis nodded "If I had to. You could tell he was rotten. I have seen goblins with less greed in their eyes."
Lucy had a sweat drop by her face "Well thank you again. You are free to go now."
Noctis smiled "No problem. Hopefully there is a quest still on the board."
Noctis made his way down stairs and went to the board to see if there was anything worthwhile to do. As he was searching he was tapped on the shoulder.
He turned around and saw Faye. "Hey Faye how are you doing?"
Faye smiled "Better. I see that you are now silver rank quite the jump."
Noctis shrugged "It is a big jump but apparently having a super rare magic will do that plus I did split the ogres head in half."
Noctis flexed his bicep as he said "I am pretty strong after all."
Faye rolled her eyes "You might be but the last thing you need is a bigger head."
Noctis sighed "Yeah I suppose."
Faye then asked "So what are you going to do now?"
Noctis sighed again "Well I was going to go on a quest but it seems all the good ones are taken."
Faye then held up a quest "Well if you are interested I have this quest right here. It is to kill a pair of Griffins in the area. I was going to do it alone but I guess you can tags along if you want."
Noctis smirked "You we're going to take on two griffins by yourself?"
Faye was about to say something back but then Noctis's smirk grew bigger "I can go with you. Sounds like fun."
Faye smiled "Good."
