The Duke turned to his trusted second in command, Andre, and said, "Andre, I am placing you in charge of this investigation. I want you to flesh out this infiltrator."

"Interrogate him to find out what he knows and then do away with him quietly." 

"Whoever the spy is must have been present at the annex that night to know what Faye had done. I would say start your search there."

"We must become more cautious and start vetting the people around this fortress better for our protection."

The Duke warned, "Be aware of your surroundings, gentleman, and mindful of your discussions in public. We don't need any further information leaking back to the capital."

Merrick countered, "Would this not be a better suited job for Carter, your Grace?"

There was a thorny glare in Sterling's eyes as he answered Merrick. "It would be, wouldn't it? If only we knew where he was? The mystery of Carter's whereabouts deepens."
