Tuzi saw it as inferior. 

She thought he saw her as inferior.

He did not. He could not. It was an impossible notion.

One thing was as clear as day in his mind: He must clear up this misunderstanding!

He could never accept her rejection of their mate bond.

Taiga knew he had to navigate this moment carefully. He could not afford to fumble his communication with her, as the fate of their future was perilously hanging by a thread.

Expelling the breath that was held since her outburst, Taiga chose his words gingerly as he inquired, "If you don't mind me asking… Do you know what a 'Luna' is…? Who she is and what she represents…?"
