Bab 65: Creeping Danger

"Now that I think of it, the sound of trees does sound nice." Asher muttered to himself.

He had been in the forest for about an hour now and was trying to find a decent place to rest for the night. At first, he had constantly been alert with the sound of the trees, but now he had become a lot more used to it.

~SNAP~

Instead of getting mistaken by the sound of trees, Asher was now alert about the sound of sticks and branches being broken.

'Even with the torch, its still hard to spot the sticks in the thick grass.' Asher thought to himself.

He had been stepping onto the sticks often, and was unable to tell if the sound was made by himself or by something else. But now that it had been a while, he could tell when the sound was coming from other places and not due to himself.

Staying alert all the time was also not easy, and was now having a strain on Asher.
