[Starting as a Class 5 Mutant]

"Advisor Mitokado, I heard you took quite a few tumbles the day before yesterday?"

Kyomu deliberately brought it up, "Do you enjoy falling?"

"I don't!"

"I bet you do today."

"I don't want to!" Homura stubbornly retorted, his voice booming with anger, "Kyomu, you better behave, or else..."

"Hokage-sama, you need to control Advisor Mitokado." Kyomu looked towards Hiruzen, "I bet..."

"Kyomu, enough!" Hiruzen glared at him, "Tell me, you didn't come here just for these trivial matters, did you?"

"I just wanted to make a bet with the Hokage and the advisors."

"What's your stake?" Koharu asked coldly, eyeing Kyomu, "If it's substantial enough, I might consider betting with you."

This response made Kyomu suddenly find Koharu more agreeable.

"The bet is whether I can join the ANBU," Kyomu straightforwardly proposed a bet that Hiruzen and the advisors couldn't refuse.

This was exactly what they wanted; if Kyomu joined the ANBU and wore the mask, within a few years, his popularity among the civilians and the ninja community would diminish.

"Alright, I'll take that bet," Koharu quickly responded, "What's the condition of the bet?"

"I bet that I can perfect and proficiently use the forbidden technique I've developed this month," Kyomu looked at Koharu, "If I win, you bark like a dog for a day, and if I lose, I'll join the ANBU. How about it?"

"Kyomu, are you insulting me?!" Koharu trembled with anger, "Do you not understand your place?"

"And what is your place?" Kyomu scoffed, "If you're scared to bet, just say it. Don't act so high and mighty."

"What type of forbidden technique is it?" Homura interjected.

"A space-based technique."

"I'll take that bet!" Homura gritted his teeth, "But let's add one more condition: if you lose, you'll spend your lifetime confined to the ANBU, forbidden from contacting anyone outside of the Hokage!"

"Deal!" Kyomu clapped his hands in agreement.

"Hmph, I bet too!" Homura couldn't believe Kyomu could perfect and master a space-based forbidden technique within a month.

Even the legendary Tobirama, the teacher of the Leaf's F4, took at least three years from development to perfection and mastery of his techniques.

How could Kyomu achieve that in just a month? And even if Homura lost, would he really bark like a dog?

It seemed ridiculous and naïve, making the bet seem like a child's play, which made Homura view Kyomu as less significant than before, undermining his previous image of stability and careful planning.

But the truth was known only to Kyomu, and he had to honor the bet. Someone as morally bankrupt as Homura deserved no better fate.

"Advisor Koharu, I still want to make a bet with you," Kyomu looked at Koharu again, "I bet you get water stuck in your teeth today, what do you think?"

"Let's just wait and see, Kyomu," Koharu shook her head, "Stop seeking attention and don't express your dissatisfaction in this manner. We've been very kind and generous to you."

Kyomu nodded, unconcerned with Koharu's latter remarks, "Then the bet is set, let's wait and see."

Turning to Hiruzen, "Hokage-sama, do you want to bet with me?"

"Kyomu, stop this nonsense," Hiruzen shook his head, "Don't give up on yourself; the village hasn't given up on you. If you change your mindset, you can still be of great use to me."

Hiruzen pondered for a moment, thinking Kyomu was trying to make amends, just in an immature way.

Had his pressure tactics worked?

Maybe it was all an act, worth observing further.

Seeing that Hiruzen didn't take the bait, Kyomu didn't persist. He had already gotten what he wanted, and the little 'interest' left didn't appeal to him.

Moreover, using this passive skill meant drawing on his future luck, so he couldn't use it too much after achieving his goal.

Turning around, Kyomu left rudely, which really annoyed both Homura and Koharu.

But their comeuppance, one coming today and the other at the end of the month, was something Kyomu definitely looked forward to.

The thought of Koharu getting water stuck in her teeth was particularly satisfying to him.

Serves them right!

"Koharu, your tooth…"

Koharu was once considered beautiful in her youth, and though aged, she still cared greatly about her appearance.

But today, she didn't want to speak, especially after seeing Kyomu enter the Hokage's office to gloat; she held her anger without saying a word.

A good tooth had been a nuisance since yesterday when it got stuck while drinking water, and trying to dislodge it had resulted in losing a prominent front tooth.

Kyomu watched the spectacle and then left; Dimensional Slash still needed perfecting, and there was bigger drama to look forward to at the end of the month.

After Kyomu left, Koharu finally admitted the truth, with a hint of fear in her eyes.

"My teeth got stuck while drinking water."

"How is that possible, don't joke, how can drinking water cause that?" Homura tried to laugh it off, recalling his own bizarre experiences of inevitably falling whenever he stepped outside recently.

And with increasing worry in his heart about his bet with Kyomu...

"Mitokado, Kyomu's behavior is very strange, unpredictable; you'd better be careful."

"Heh, am I supposed to be afraid of him?" Homura stubbornly retorted, "He is strong, but I am not weak, and he dares to pressure me?"

"Indeed he wouldn't dare, but I'm just worried... the bet might be forcibly executed."

"Enough!"

Hiruzen interrupted them, still with a string tied around his wrist, a matchbox at the other end, "Kyomu is human, not a god!"

Homura and Koharu quieted down, but their worries did not lessen in the slightest, if anything, they intensified.

If Hiruzen wasn't worried, why would he always have a matchbox tied to his wrist?

Leaving aside Homura's anxiety, time would not linger long on him.

In Kyomu's courtyard, blades flashed, and Dimensional Slash was further perfected, with decreasing energy consumption and a very low error rate.

Wiping sweat from his forehead, Kyomu looked around at the suddenly normalized space, his lips curving up uncontrollably.

"Ten more days are more than enough for me, possibly even to exceed the task."

Sheathing Yoei, Kyomu stood in the middle of the yard, "Dimensional Slash is just a general framework combining the Space Kekkei Genkai. After its perfection, countless derivative techniques will emerge, and this move will take me to the stratosphere."

The principle of Dimensional Slash involved combining sword techniques with the Space Kekkei Genkai, utilizing the properties of spatial collapse, foldability, mirroring, and stretchability to create powerful slashes.

A mere swing of the sword within a defined space allowed Kyomu to ignore distances and effortlessly unleash dense sword shadows.

These were shadows, not merely glows.

Each strike was synchronized in time, and each was tangible, perfectly incorporating the Yoei blade's ability to slice through any form of chakra—a defense as tough as a tortoise shell stood no chance.

Slicing through Tailed Beast Bombs would become the norm.

"If only the energy cost could be reduced further, specifically divided into three stages," Kyomu thought thoroughly, "A routine Dimensional Slash doesn't need to be too powerful, just enough to unexpectedly decapitate an enemy from afar.

In such a state, the energy cost of a single Dimensional Slash would be equivalent to a B-rank ninjutsu.

Elevating from there should be a killer move, using the power of space to obliterate all large-scale attacks or massive forms.

With my current chakra levels, I could sustain five or even seven such uses.

And the ultimate secret technique would be the full manifestation of Dimensional Slash, locking and shattering space, covering a vast area, and ensuring escape is impossible.

If not considering the chakra stored in advance within the Dragon Armor, it could only be used once during battle."

Kyomu reviewed his plans, immediately pushing forward in these three directions to master the various forms of Dimensional Slash.

Three days later.

Dimensional Slash·Reverse! With a single swing of the sword, Kyomu's immediate vicinity remained empty, but ten meters away, a large tree suddenly fell, its cross-section smooth.

And after training Dimensional Slash, Kyomu's familiarity with the Space Kekkei Genkai reached a new level.

With a flicker of his form, like shrinking the ground beneath his feet, he moved ten meters instantly without leaving any trace.

Checking the fallen tree, Kyomu grinned.

"A perfect method for ambush, even better than the sudden lengthening of the blade," he touched the Yoei blade, "Who could anticipate that my attacks, whether forward, backward, or arbitrary, could sync up to ten meters, or even farther, causing invisible harm?"

This was Kyomu utilizing the foldability of space, similar to folding a paper in half to bring two distant sides together, allowing one attack to ignore the distance between and inflict synchronized damage.

This was the true power of space, not merely the superficial application of the Flying Thunder God Technique, which merely shortened distances.

Chuckling as he sheathed Yoei, Kyomu stepped forward, abruptly crossing ten meters without delay or pause.

The principle was still the foldability of space.

Taking another step forward, Kyomu's form seemed like a glitched animation frame, suddenly moving far, but without leaving any trace of movement in between, as if distance beneath his feet became a paradox.

With a flicker of his form, it took just a dozen steps for Aragami Kyomu to reach his courtyard.

"Tsk, the energy consumption is still high." Kyomu shook his head, "The Flying Thunder God Technique has lower limits than my Space Kekkei Genkai, but its energy consumption is much less."

This might be the only competitive edge of the Flying Thunder God Technique, but what Kyomu sought was not low consumption, but high power, greater range, and even greater power.

A terminal fear of insufficient firepower, he was already in its late stages.

This is an illness, likely incurable for life.

"Continue to develop the intermediate forms of Dimensional Slash." Kyomu refocused, relentlessly continuing his training and research.

Three more days.

Still deep within the Forest of Death.

With one hand extended forward, the Yoei blade angled downward, within a ten-meter radius centered on the tip of the blade, dense sword shadows appeared, each imbued with the force of space.

Dimensional Slash·Break!

Kyomu sheathed his blade, and the dense sword shadows in front synchronized and vanished.

Crack, crack, crack.

Dark fissures that absorbed all light densely packed the area, and any object existing within the space abruptly lost a section.

The sharpness of the space breaking was more potent than the blade itself.

When space resealed, trees within a ten-meter radius lay scattered on the ground, and the severed sections had disappeared forever, leaving no trace in the world.

"If combined with the short, instantaneous spatial movements of the Space Kekkei Genkai, then this move is called..."

Dimensional Slash·Instant Break!

Kyomu drew his blade again; as he began to move, he seamlessly teleported ten meters away, and behind him, a ten-meter radius of space shattered, filled with lethal spatial turbulence and the tangible blade of Yoei.

Turning around, looking at the intersecting spatial fissures and sword shadows, as well as the trapped lights unable to escape, Kyomu felt dazzled.

"Violence is indeed beautiful, the more pleasing to the eye, the more dangerous it is. Any attack or weapon that is ugly or deviates from aesthetic standards is either immature or flawed."

In summary, Kyomu flickered away like 'shrinking the ground beneath his feet', returning home.

The final ultimate technique needed to be accelerated.

The day before the last day of the month, Kyomu stood with his blade sheathed, having completed the final form of Dimensional Slash!

"The power is too great, not convenient to demonstrate..." Kyomu chuckled, his excitement evident.

"A full-powered strike, unavoidable, unbreakable, cutting through everything, destroying everything!

And its name is... Dimensional Slash·Annihilation!"

Sheathing his blade, Kyomu chuckled as he awaited dawn, not wanting to miss the spectacle of Homura barking like a dog all day.

Though it was only through his bet with him that Aragami Kyomu achieved such feats, when it was time to laugh, he certainly wouldn't be absent, maybe just a bit more merciful, not laughing too loudly.

The next morning, as Homura woke up, his first words were.

Woof, woof, woof!

He hurriedly covered his mouth, despair evident in his eyes, but when his wife approached to ask him something.

Woof, woof, woof!

His hands couldn't cover it, absolutely couldn't.

What to do?

"Advisor Mitokado, Kyomu has come to visit."

I'm not HERE!

But his response was still a bark, and his anthropomorphic posture was very fitting.

Outside, Aragami Kyomu laughed loudly.

"Advisor Mitokado, with such integrity, saying he'll bark and then actually barking, truly a man of his word. I'll just go and help spread this quality of yours."

Spreading rumors takes a mouth, debunking them runs the legs ragged, and this wasn't even Kyomu spreading rumors, but rather a fact.

"Homura, how is the feeling of indescribable plight of my former teacher?"

Kyomu sneered, telling everyone about Homura's barking incident.

The spectacle grew bigger.
