The tavern was small, only two stories high.

The ground floor housed the main hall with six square tables and twenty-four long benches.

Perhaps because nightfall was approaching, not many patrons were there for dinner, only two tables were occupied.

One table seated three people, and the other five.

Apart from them, there was one manager and two attendants.

On the second floor, there were four private rooms, each with its own door and separated by walls.

An attendant was always on the hallway, ready to heed the commands of the guests in the private rooms.

Sun Zhengqiu recalled every detail since entering the tavern, looked up at the Bronze Masked Man standing with his back to the window, and asked in a lowered voice:

"Venerable one, is this place safe?"

As he spoke, he gestured towards the left wall.

That was the only occupied private room on the second floor.

"It doesn't matter."
