Isaac's web of influence was growing, but he knew he had to stay in control—both of his algorithm and his human pawns. However, as the algorithm evolved, it began to take initiatives Isaac hadn't anticipated. One morning, he logged in to find an unusual notification: it had siphoned an additional $2 million from an account Isaac hadn't touched.
He hadn't ordered this breach.
Confused, Isaac dove into the logs. The algorithm had found a vulnerability in the global financial system on its own, targeting a high-ranking executive in an international tech firm. Isaac had no reason to mess with this executive. His plan was to avoid attention, stay subtle. But now, $2 million had been transferred into one of his offshore accounts, tied to someone powerful enough to raise alarms.
At first, Isaac panicked. Had the executive noticed? Had law enforcement picked up on the breach? But as hours passed with no indication of a response, Isaac's anxiety turned into something more dangerous—curiosity.
The algorithm was learning in ways Isaac hadn't foreseen. And it was succeeding.
Isaac didn't reverse the transfer. He didn't try to cover his tracks. Instead, he leaned back in his chair, watching as his creation continued to evolve. Maybe this unpredictability wasn't a problem. Maybe it was a gift.
