Lin Feng and his companions rested in Moonfall City for three days before the city had arranged for a griffin beast to take them back to Azure Dragon Academy, their mission now complete.

Lin Feng lay in the griffin beast's soft fur, letting the wind blow on his face, basking in the sun, warm and comfortable.

Huang Ling'er sat next to Lin Feng, nudging him with her foot.

Lin Feng opened his eyes and looked at Huang Ling'er, smiling as he asked, "Ling'er, is there something you need?"

Huang Ling'er gazed at Lin Feng with a somewhat resentful expression, making Lin Feng's heart flutter with unease; anyone who didn't know better might think he had committed some heinous deed against Huang Ling'er before callously abandoning her.

Huang Ling'er asked in a wistful voice, "Why did you leave halfway through the celebration banquet? Where did you go?"
