This story can be good but it is just all too confusing. I couldn’t read beyond chapter 16 or so…. The descriptions of who’s who in the family makes no sense. It’s like the author/translator has zero sense on who is the eldest madam, what it means to be a birth mother, and how everyone is categorized within a family. The storyline so far was really interesting but how can I continue to read when I can’t tell who is who in the FL’s family let alone other characters in the novel.
It's a good story. Although there are lots of translation mistakes but it's engrossing.
Really like this story but the CONSTANT gender and names/titles mix up is truly annoying. It breaks the happy reading rhythm.
Should’ve been 5⭐️. But I gave 4⭐️. Great story! A must read. But…for me… There were so many unanswered or unsatisfactory development for me: 1)The elaborate schemes with Prince Yi, consort Li/Li family, Fu Yun, Yan Qiongsi, Xu Yurong…was so long but the resolution was a downer and punishment seemed light. 2)The war, could’ve given a summary to satisfy me at the end. 3)The caravan. Such a great story in itself but no real resolution with Su Xinyi not present. 4)What happened to the Fourth Su branch having an adoptive heir? 5)No resolution for the Su brothers. Thank you! ❤️. Loved the extra on Su Chun but not sure on the second chapter. As it left a cliffhanger and could possibly interfere with the current storyline. Nice on Shang Junyan’s side story even if there was no resolution but regret. Don’t dream about another lifetime when you see how wonderful someone can be when they’re happiest with someone else.

This is the first book I read where the FL became the empress willingly. Action pack, keeps you wanting for more. The latter part are more about the schemes in the harem but still interesting enough to keep you attention. Aside from errors in names and pronouns, this is pretty much easy to read. There were a couple of times I felt emotional while reading this, but I definitely laughed a lot. 😊 Highly recommended! 👍💯
A great read. It helped that the chapters were released mostly as scheduled.
This is such a wonderful story and it is a delight to read! I just hope they can fix all the translation errors as soon as possible.
I love this story. I'm so happy I found it here. I read the original but my Chinese isn't too good so I had to mtl a lot. I gave up but I really did want to finish it so I'm glad it's translated here. The world background buildup and characters are all so lovely and it makes sense why people do what they do and why they act the way they do. The only one I never got was that XR girl that pushed her into the lake but even she didn't matter so much after awhile. lol. this was a fun read. Thank you for sharing.
