Following the death of the emperor, the Astanian Empire plunged into chaos. His two sons both aiming for the throne caused a civil war that divided the empire.
In the midst of this conflict, Alaric was forced into conscription. He later joined the crown prince’s army as a company commander.
He led his 100-man army into battle, fiercely fighting with the hope of a better future. Unfortunately, he was just too weak to cause a ripple on the battlefield.
A single arrow to the head shattered his hopes and he died without even a proper burial.
Just when he thought that everything was over, he found himself back to his younger self with his memories intact.
Armed with his knowledge of the future and a system that awakened his dormant powers, Alaric began his journey to overcome his fated demise.

Scrivi una recensioneAs someone who has read hundreds of novels on this platform, this one stands out. It’s plot and writing quality are exceptional. Good job.
The book started off really nice, had an alright premise but it was well adapted with a solid progression but around chapter 390-400 MC had a 180° personality flip and ruined it for me. I’m not dropping the book yet and will update the review if changes happen or I see fit!
author is there any Yuri or ntr in harem hope not also is mc op or not and how big mc harem is
I expected more from this up and coming book, but it just feels like a solid story with many points of squandered potential. First The Bad There are so many things the author could've done but didn’t. Mc received a SSS grade swordsmanship talent. But it is simply a Talent, an acceleration not something concrete. There are many points the author could have expanded upon, like restudying sword skills in a reframed perspective, Creating sword styles, copying and improving sword moves from opponents, Creating whole new schools of thought (possible with the most advanced sword talent to exist in this world.) Mc could have gone around gaining experience with his new understanding with the sword, learning from opponents, taking moves from the most unexpected of places and improving upon them to create something new, creating styles to counter others, comprehending a deeper understanding of his own body. But what does mc do with his flagship talent? Picks up two swords and calls it a day. Ironically he uses his talent with the sword like a crude stick. This story barely has anything to do with swordsmanship, tho the story lives up to the name “STARTING with sss rank swordsmanship talent” as swordsmanship is nothing but a kickstarter to mc’s romances and political maneuvering. Also mc has no personal goals to set him apart, he just reactions to the environment. Mc reborn in the past wants to prevent the terrible outcome, and make his house survive and thrive. These are goals anyone in his position would have, but what does He want for his individual self… Mc unfortunately ends up as bland but it is not his fault, he was not created with enough depth in mind. Noticeably very few characters have real depth, even then there are no interesting or unexpected qualities to make them feel whole unlike mc’s hate for goblins which I honestly had my hopes up. And there are no wonderful surprises within the side characters, they are all just one thing, there is nothing to spice up the characters, there is no mix of flavors or the emergence of something real, no one is balanced or unbalanced as they all are just one dimensional making the world feel incomplete. Now The Good Otherwise a solid story. Does not take the generic path and does not make All the bad guys moronic. Also the eye rolling cliches are avoided. The characters are very simple and they are fully their given architecture. Though smart guys aren’t very mind blowing smart, and surprisingly the dumb ones aren’t stereotypical dumb. But sadly all bad guys are unexceptional in intelligence and well everything. Surprisingly it did a notable job at capturing the women in that time period. Usually authors are influenced by modern times and make the people highly modern like every woman is a badass woman or a caricatures of medieval times as a helpless damsels in distress or outright stupid, but this, this felt real was spot on.
okay real review...................the story is good so far, the only problem i have is that we don't get to see the mc make use of his talent except for 2 chapters(maybe it'll change in the future) but it's good so far
Mostra SpoilerThe only thing this has got goin for it rn is the update schedule since authors posting chapters for golden tickets. I really hope there's an improvement in this soon. If there is, I may make changes to this review. Looks like my review was deleted so this is what I gotta do
how far have we come these days it's hard to find a mc that's has one proper weapon talent than the 100s of extraction and devour and necromancer and summoner and blah blah blah
First time iam writing a review on this website, I love the novel, finally no absorb shit like all the others.
I LOVE rebirth stories and levelling up stories. However, this story focused too much on the male fantasy than other aspects. Girls apparently enjoy getting assaulted and watching a guy they like pursue other women. Tge male lead falls for every girl he encounters and where women have been wronged, he will not seek justice for them despite having the power to do so. Ultimately, this book is about a boy's perfect world. It's about shy girls who act like children and need saving. If you're a girl, you will be constantly annoyed.
it's greatt for a first novel but theirs room for improvement 😁😁😁 I believe by reading novel and with time you the author will be able present a wonderful and fantastic story 💯💯💯 (PS : 5.0 is because it's your first novel original review was 3.9😅😅 )
So here is my review after reading more than 400 chapters, story was really good around 400 chapters but I can't take it anymore, Firstly there is one war after another, their is nothing other than fighting, their is no romance, slice of life & such, you can't make whole story based on war in my opinion. Secondly, MC's character has changed significantly in bad way, in starting he has said that he would improve his character towards his lovers, but not only he cheated on them with a slave despite promising to his lovers not to do that but he thinks he is right or something. He starts to think that it is okay to kill innocent people because they are of enemy kingdom. Thirdly, Its like author has forgotten about Elena, no progress in mc's relationship with her at all, heck same goes to Hershey & Yvanna, now they are only just mc's wives or soon to be wives who wait for mc at home when MC goes to war. They don't have any screen time to them at all. Fourthly author should further divided Ranks of Knights & Beasts, for e.g. : Elite Knight could further be divided into Early, Middle,Top & Peak, same goes for beasts rank. It's quite inconsistent throughout the novel, it becomes really confusing at some point. Lastly all the War arcs are quite similar & cliche, MC & his people are powerful but enemy becomes more powerful & then mc have struggle very heavily to win the fight & war. Now good points, Writing Quality is actually quite good, world building is also fabulous, many characters are quite likable tbh.
I made it through 50 chapters, but the story never once felt like it took itself seriously. The tone is so casual it becomes impossible to stay invested. Villains feel like cartoons, character thoughts are reduced to lazy one-liners, and there’s no depth just a surface-level narrative that constantly undercuts itself. I always prefer a more grounded, detailed perspective, and this just wasn’t it. The protagonist is painfully generic. There's nothing new or compelling about him. I’ve seen this exact “reincarnated noble son” setup in countless manhwa and Korean novels, and it always ends the same way: bland and forgettable. I had zero expectations going in, but somehow I still walked away disappointed. One moment really killed it for me when he meets Paxley’s daughter or whoever she was, the author skips the entire dialogue. Instead of showing the scene, it’s summarized with a dry line like “They talked about this and that.” It felt lazy. On top of that, the insistence on only showing the main character’s point of view flattens every other character into a cardboard cutout. No one feels real... And of course, there's the maid character, another damsel-in-distress trope slapped on for emotional bait. At the end of the day, this isn’t a story. It’s a stitched-up pile of clichés pretending to be one.
The only thing I hate about this book, is that I found it too early. Having to wait for updates is torturing.
Started today on my 5 hour flight and couldn’t put it down. Characters are great, story is well written and MC isn’t a little b***h. Sure there’s a lot of tropes but who cares? If it’s done well then it’s all the key points of an excellent story of which this certainly is. Looking forward to more chapters!
It’s great, the pacing could be slightly better, so far there’s been no real romance, I hope there’s romance soon. The writing quality has gotten better over time, but it could still be better. All in all it’s a great WN to read to pass time. Keep up the great work!

Cliche ideas, but who cares? Everything is a trope, at the end of the day; what matters is the delivery. The author did well in that aspect. He conveyed what needed to be told at a fitting pace. The characters do their job but some still need development, which is expected considering the lack of chapters at the moment. I'd like it if the story developed more into the romance between him and Elena. Of course, I don't expect a full rom-com, but I hope for a well-developed relationship. The system is honestly great. It isn't overpowered nor is it too weak. It's balanced, like all things should be. Anyways, I'm looking forward to this.
