Actually, Lane Allen was not a Guide, but rather an Esper with a mysterious Plunder ability! It allowed him to possess other people’s bodies, and steal their awakened abilities. Keeping his real body safe, Lane could enjoy life to the fullest, constantly swapping identities, and doing whatever he wanted without ever worrying about the consequences! How great was that?
Except…
Damien Lennox grabbed Lane’s arm, and pressed him against the wall, his clear green eyes staring down at Lane intently, as if he could see right through him. “There’s no one else whose guidance feels so harsh and chaotic, yet pleasing at the same time.”
It seems that Damien was somehow able to recognize Lane even after switching identities, and is unwilling to let him go?

I've read another work by this author, and I highly recommend this book as well. The plot is engaging, and the characters are well-developed. The character designs are refreshingly original, offering something completely unique that I haven't seen in other books. Additionally, the background information is well-crafted and adds to the overall experience. Besides I’m really curious about Allen’s past and his friend’s secret job. I'm looking forward to the next chapters
This is a really great read with plenty of humor and action. The characters and what's seen of the world background so far are well-written.

I love everything about this book and most importantly lane's cute fight with clara...
Lane is basically a serial killer O_O I like the story, I like the character, but I need happy endings. Do serial killers get happy endings? In real life, I hope not, but it's okay in fiction...
The main character is the definition of a sociopath, so many dead innocent/ disposable people. But looks like Lane is developing a soul, kinda.
