章 6: Training

Kakashi went hard on us. It started with a delicious breakfast. That was a trap. What followed was a rigorous workout filled with a run, sit ups, push ups, more running, and ended with mountain climbers. Didn't think they had those in this world, but here we are. After passing out we were rudely awoken a few hours later by him dropping books on us.

" Alright wake up, and pay attention. Chakra. This is what makes us ninja and separates us from civilians. This power gives you a responsibility to the village, and to yourself. You can't get even with the kids, and adults who have bullied you. You could kill them, and as a ninja of the hidden leaf it will be your duty to defend them. Give them hope. More Importantly. Ah whatever the academy will teach you the village love crap later. For now sit down, and face away from me. I'm going to inject a little chakra into your body. Sense it, and pull it into your center to awaken your own chakra. "

Doing as we were told, neither of us could sit still however. Kakashi placed his hand on Naruto's back, and I could feel the energy bursting from him like a dam, and based on the look on Kakashi's face, I'd say he was surprised too. I knew he had a lot, but I didn't think it was this much at this age.

Next his hand was placed upon my back, and when the chakra was inserted I had no clue what to do. I could feel it, and I could kind of move it around but it didn't exactly go where I wanted. The small ball was moving through my body from back to front following some kind of nervous system, but this isn't like I remember in the show; it was like singular lines up, and down the arm and then a few circles in the middle. But this… this felt like a whole forest of roots leading nowhere, and everywhere. This is a fucking mess. It felt like hours had passed before I found the center, and oh boy I was shocked, and amazed when I lit up like a christmas tree. A literal nervous system of chakra lines filled my body surrounding everything, flowing everywhere.

Kakashi once again had the shocked pikachu face, and took a step back.

" Well, congrats on having your chakra awakened. Naruto you have an overwhelming amount of chakra, and you will have a hard time with your control. Haruko I don't even know where to start with you. You have a billion pathways throughout your body. I don't think there has ever been a system quite like yours. You also have a remarkable amount of chakra, nowhere near Nauto's but equivalent to a low tier Chūnin. I don't know what difficulties you will face, but something isn't right in there. "

" Well, okay I guess. So can we throw fireballs, and stuff now? "

" No. "

" What can we do? " Naruto asked with curiosity.

" At this point you need to develop control before anything else. Then we will learn how to use it to power your body, and then after you've mastered the basic two control exercises we can try to learn basic jutsus. In the academy you'll learn 3 jutsus before you can graduate, and I firmly believe they do it out of order. For most of the kids this works fine, as they have little chakra, and thus control is easier. You freaks have an enormous amount, so control first. "

" That makes a lot of sense actually. Gotta say dog boy you're really doing a good job. "

" Alright brat, that's enough. From now on you're my students. I am responsible for you, meaning your actions reflect on me. Fix the bad attitude, and call me teacher, or sensei, or something more respectful. "

" But Lord Dog, you let them kick the crap out of us. " Naruto added, and we fist bumped before a book descended upon his forehead, and then mine.

" OW " x2

Rubbing our heads we both took on the look of an abused puppy.

" Not very nice Lord Dog! " BAM " OWW " fuck why does a book hurt so much? I didn't deactivate my defense since I didn't know it was coming either time. Meaning either he didn't hold back on either of us. Or he hit me harder on purpose.

" Man, that hurts! "

" You'll be fine. Now I don't feel like going over anything the academy will touch in depth. So I didnt think this far ahead. Read these books, and good luck. I have a cat to save… or something. "

And out the window he went.

The books equated to match, science, history, and chakra theory for dummies. Which we were, and we sure didnt spend more than five minutes on them each.

" Hey you wanna fuck around with chakra? "

" Shouldn't we not? "

" Naruto do you really think were gonna blow up or something? "

" Maybe? I dunno. "

" Maybe you're right. Ill try it out, and if I explode. Don't do it. "

" Sounds good, so what are you going to do? "

" Move it around a little bit, and see what happens? "

' Nah I'm going to make a fucking sword dude! '

Alright lets concentrate, move the shit while thinking of how Mercer changed his arm into a sword.

" WHAT IS THAT? "

A tiny blade poked out from my middle finger, an entirely black blade with crimson red veins, and a gleaming silver edge.

" Not what I was expecting in all honesty. But cool. "

" HARU, HOW ARE YOU NOT FREAKING OUT!!!! "

" Uh… I kinda expected something like this? "

".... How? "

" Well I kind of just got this feeling, and then I followed it, and this happened! "

" That is pretty cool though, how sharp do you think it is? Like a kunai? "

" Wanna test it out? Not on you of course. "

" Duh… OH use the stupid books!! "

" PERFECT! "

Lifting up the math book with my left hand I bright the tiny finger blade to the middle, and it ripped straight through. A perfect clean cut.

" AWESOME " x2

" DUDE "

" BRO "

" What else can you do? "

" I have a few ideas, but I think this is it for now. Until I get better control I think this is it. "

" It's still super cool bro! Do you think I can do it too? "

" No I think it may be unique to me. Maybe something to do with my parents? I don't know anything about them though. "

" Oh a bloodline thingy? "

" Yeah I think so. "

We went back, and fourth for a while about the future. How excited we were, how cool we were going to be, how we were going to lead the hidden village, and how he was going to become Hokage. I made dinner, a very healthy meal of meat, and veggies. Tasted awful. I have no talent for cooking. But it was healthy? Anyway we then went to bed to wake up the next day, and do it all again. Several back, and forths with Kakashi, and several beatings from him. We began trying to get leaves stuck to our forehead. Little to no success. However I was making a lot of headway with both of them for emotional healing. Naruto smiles all the time now, he's loud, obnoxious, but joyful, and no signs of a crying child. Kakashi was less hopeful, however late he was to arrive he ended up spending more time with us after. Mostly cooking for us, but he did crack a joke or two.

The training results weren't anything super impressive, but it did help build discipline in both of us. Oh and another important note Naruto, and I kept my blade between us, as We wanted to shock Kakashi when it was more impressive. We blamed the book on a kitchen knife. He didn't buy it, and he beat me, but he didnt pry. Oh boy, exciting things are coming.
