章 12: Is it a knight or a prince? (I)
At the back of the E University, where there are old buildings, a broken gate wire can be seen. Like someone tore it apart on purpose. At the back of the old school warehouse, where the old chairs and cleaning materials were kept for a long time, there was a student curling on the muddy ground. His white polo is now mixed with blood dripping from his lips.
Five students wearing red coats surround him. All of them looked very satisfied from what they did to the poor boy.
"This is what you got for not following our orders." He picked up the poor boy and spit into his face. "I told you to be careful, you little nerdy...Do you really think you can fight back just because the vice president stands for you?" he sank the boy's face on the muddy ground.
The poor boy couldn't do anything. Just like any ordinary student at E University, he had no power. Even if he's intelligent and one of the scholars, these students higher than him can stomp him very deep. He curled up and endured their kicks and punches.
After getting beaten up. The 5 students left him. Satisfied with their anger. The poor boy slowly lifted his upper body and gathered all his things. He's trying very hard not to cry. He didn't want to be weak, but he's too weak to protect himself. Beside his bag, he saw the newly made eyeglass that was brought to him by his father yesterday. It's already broken.
His father worked very hard to buy it. He gathered it with his bruised hands, gently. The sadness in his eyes slowly appeared. "I-I'm s-sorry, father," he whispered.
THE BELL RANG…
Students are now gathered in their classrooms. Liechael, who just got out from the student council office, hurriedly halted the hallways. He didn't want to be late today. He admits that being in charge of-the-art class is difficult.
While walking in the hallways, his phone rang. Who would have called him in times like this? He's in a hurry, but after seeing the name of his friend, he pressed the green button. "Hello?"
"Chael?? Where are you??! It's the first period of the class, our professor will be here in a minute," Shaun's voice echoed so loud that he even distanced the phone away from his ears. It seems like his friend is more nervous than him getting late. Liechael sighed. He was about to press his phone back to his ears when someone bumped into him very hard.
BAM!!
His phone with Shaun exclaiming from the other line fell. It got swayed by the other person that its screen almost cracked. The LCD turned black, and it completely turned off. Liechael turned his head and saw a student full of dirt running in the hallways. He didn't even stop to apologize. That student completely ignored him, like escaping from his crime.
He traced the guy's footprints. It was muddy and dirty. And from watching the back of the guy, his uniform is also in a mess. 'Did he get into an accident or fall from the tree?' Liechael thought, picking up his phone.

"Geez!!! I almost fell asleep!" Shaun made a big yawn as he stood up from his seat. He stretches his arms while asking Liechael what to eat. It was their lunch time.
Since all of their classmates went to the cafeteria, Shaun and Lilith and Liechael were the only ones left.
"Hey! Lilith! Come with us," Shaun sprang and dashed to the girl, who's busy fixing her table. He sat at the desk and looked at Lilith with a cunning smile. "Let's grab lunch,"
Lilith ignored him. "Your smile is annoying," she cursed.
Shaun felt the arrow of embarrassment struck him straight. He backs away and his ears almost drop like a dog. "You are so cruel! I am just a good friend asking you to have lunch with me!" He complained.
"Stop dramatizing small things," Lilith struck him once again. "I'm not a kid. I can go to the cafeteria alone," she snorted as Liechael appeared between them silently.
"Master Shaun!!"
A small voice echoed in the room. There they saw Addison waving her hand at Shaun. She's a first year, that's why they are not classmates. After seeing her, the handsome escort of the student council dashed towards her. "My dear sweet Adiee!! Are you here to fetch your daddy Shaun?" The male said to the blushing girl.
"You're not his daddy, idiot!" Lilith smacked Shaun's head. Behind her was Liechael, who's silently observing them.
Addison bowed her head to Lilith and Liechael while pushing Shaun away from her face. And since the male was clinging to the first year girl, Lilith pinched Shaun's ears and dragged him away. "I said stop fooling around," she warned again to the whining boy.
Liechael and Addison walked behind Lilith and Shaun. Though the young master of the Ross Clan saw the sadness in Addison's eyes while staring at the two. She's quite the shy type who would blush immediately when getting praised by Shaun. 'Did she like Shaun?' he thought.
When they entered the cafeteria, it surprised them to see a bunch of students circling on something happening. And before they could even ask, a random student dashed into them. "President!" She bowed to Liechael. "Vice President!" She bowed to Lilith. "We need your help here. Students from the 2nd year and third year are causing a ruckus here," she explained.
Lilith grasped her arms. "What's the cause?"
"We really don't know but when we arrived, one of our senior are cursing a the student from the second year,"
"Who's the pretty lady?" Shaun butted in
"It's Alaena Collins, the top student from the Class 1"
Liechael automatically jolted from his stance and unconsciously dashed to the students gathering around. And since he's the young master of the Ross Clan, everybody moved to give him a way.
In the middle of the crowd, Liechael saw her very close. Only 2 meters separating them. His heart started to beat abnormally, like it was going to explode. His breaths turned heavy and unbearable.
Amid the crowd, a roaring voice resounded in the cafeteria. "WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING?!!"
