章 27: BSWS CH-27 Choices and Possibilities
A week after the Waves Massacre, the bridge Tazuna was building was finally completed. People soon forgot about events of a week ago as they threw all of their attention to the new bridge and the possibilities it represented.
However, as the mission was now officially completed, Team 7 had to return back to Leaf.
The rest of the events happened similar to the original to Canon, such as Sasuke being stoic and haughty when praised by the villagers and Kakashi's habit of immersing himself inside Icha Icha.
Naruto and Inari bonded and cried their hearts out at the time of farewell. Even though Sakura's involvement prevented Inari's moment of Heroism, he did get encouraged by their victory and started to believe in heroes again.
Sakura did make two more changes by the time she left, one intentional and the other unintentional. Along with Gato's fortune, Sakura had also liberated the Land of Waves property documents that Gato had. She decided to use them to improve the life of the Land of Waves residents.
The night Tazuna finished his bridge, Sakura met him in secret and gave him the papers. She also advised him to create a Craftsman Guild and use it to govern and regulate the Land of Waves and bring it to popularity.
The idea of a Democracy-based Craftsman Guild was intriguing to Tazuna and He agreed to Sakura's proposal. Sakura had given one-third of Gato's wealth to Zabuza along with the Kubikiribocho. She decided to give another one-third to Tazuna to help him with the establishment of the Guild.
The change that Sakura unintentionally brought was the change in the naming of Tazuna's Bridge. As it had represented a new hope and brought forth the possibility of a new future, Tazuna named the bridge 'Mirai no Kibō no Hashi' or 'Future's Hope Bridge'.

A few days later, Hokage office.
Hokage puffed his pipe silently as he looked through the report submitted by Kakashi. Though he seemed as if he was giving a cursory glance, His eyes would sharpen every once in a while as he looked at the details given in the file.
'Four Affinities. Impeccable Battle Instincts. Shows Great Talent in Espionage. Chakra Sensor. Instinctive Talent in Ninjutsu and Genjutsu.' Hokage thought as he closed his eyes and let the smoke cloud surround his head.
'This one seems too good to be true, and generally, they are not…' Hokage's thoughts diverted to a certain pale-skinned shinobi that he had loved more than his own son. It was one of his greatest regrets that he let such a talent go on the wrong path.
'I can't let history repeat itself.' The Hokage thought while he looked at the second folder Kakashi gave. It was an alternate report of the mission. But in this, Kakashi had highlighted Sasuke and Naruto more. He also highly diminished the impact of Sakura's talent, actions, and decisions.
The intent behind the report was very clear. Kakashi was asking him whether to publicize her information and risk the gaze of a certain group falling on her, or whether Hokage was going to take her under his wing. Hokage held the original report in his left hand and the alternate one on his right.
"I hope I don't end up regretting this in the future." Hokage thought as his chakra blazed and burnt the folder in his hand, turning it to ash that faded soon from his left hand.

A few days later, Sakura stood alone in the training assigned to Team 7. It was their day off as Team 7 had completed over a dozen Rank D missions after coming back from Land of Waves. Naruto's shadow clones and the current maturity and prowess of Team 7 made D Rank missions a breeze to clear.
Currently, she was two scrolls in her hand. Kakashi had handed it to her when he told them about their day off. He said it was an additional reward for her performance in Land of Waves.
The first scroll was the Nature Transformation training method for Earth Release. The Second Scroll contained details of a few of the basic Earth Style Jutsu available for Genin.
First was a basic attack type jutsu: Earth Bullet. It was just an amalgamation of solidified Earth chakra or soil and rocks compressed through Earth chakra, which was then fired in a direction.
The second was a basic defense type jutsu: Earth Wall. It was even simpler as you literally had to manipulate Earth below your feet to extend into a wall through supplying chakra. But advanced users could build refined structures from this jutsu. Some could even directly mold Earth Chakra into walls by spewing it out through their mouth and shaping it.
The third and fourth were related support jutsu: Lightweight and Added Weight technique. In this user can manipulate the weight of a certain object or organism by influencing it with Earth chakra.
Sakura found that training for Earth Release was many times easier than Water Release. She figured it could be because of two reasons. Either she had a greater affinity and understanding towards Earth, or Earth Release is easier in the beginning stages as compared to other elements.
Nature Transformation training method for Earth Release was simple too. Earth Chakra's basic concept was strengthening and hardening.
Easiest but the harshest way to train was reinforcing the body with Earth chakra and practicing combat styles against a tree or rock. As control over Earth Chakra improves, damage caused to users will begin to lessen.
Another way was molding and shaping Earth into shapes, with nothing but Chakra, and then testing its durability by attacking it. This was the method Sakura took as Chakra control was the foundation she based her life on.
After practicing for the entire day, the training ground looked like a labyrinth made from Earth Walls. If someone looked from a bird's eye view, they would see that the inner walls of the Labyrinth kept rising and sinking randomly, changing the structure of the Labyrinth every few seconds.
This was the result of a day's practice with Sakura's level of Chakra Control. Her prowess with Earth Nature Transformation increased so much that she could use low-level Earth Release Jutsu like this without a Hand sign now.
While Manipulating the Earth Wall-based Labyrinth, Sakura also kept striking the walls with Earth Bullets. She also kept alternating between Light Weight and Added Weight Jutsu to help with a sudden change of terrain, pressure, external force, etc.
Once she had mastered this jutsu, she was sure she could stand in front of a wave without being moved an inch, or fly away at the tiniest breeze. However, what she truly liked about this jutsu was that it was not purely an Earth chakra-based concept.
Light Weight and Added Weight Jutsu in their basic level manipulated the fundamental force that is obtained as a result of compressed mass, Gravitational Force. She only had a theory in her previous world about this, but now after actually using it, she was even more sure.
The reason why Light Weight and Added Weight Jutsu were in the Earth jutsu category was that the manipulation of Gravitational force the user did in this jutsu was in relation to the Earth beneath the user. The user increased or negated the effect of the Earth's Gravitational Pull in the jutsu.
However, if she could negate that aspect and be able to manipulate pure Gravitational Power, then she could take this beyond the limits of Earth Style and turn this into something unique that belongs to herself.

Another chapter that gives a glimpse into possible future development.
Sorry if someone was expecting another action-filled chapter.
Certain filler and development-based chapters are necessary if I want to set up the perfect plot.
Earth Release: Lightweight and Added Weight had so many possibilities. I really wonder why Kishimoto never explored that and instead simply giving the perfected ability to Rinnegan and Tenseigan.
Similar things happened with many other derivations of the Five Primary Chakra Affinities. I mean Naruto and Tobirama are one of the few who majorly limited themselves to Primary Affinities.
Anyway, Big Plans are coming people. Look forward to them. Also, don't forget to comment on some good ideas and make corrections to my facts.
