章 3: Chapter 2: Selfless and Selfish

"Alright, that's it. You may leave now." Hikaru said as Ai bowed before leaving the room.

"I should get ready now." Hikaru said as he started changing into his school uniform which consisted of a white dress shirt beneath a red button-up blazer, paired with dull green pants, brown shoes, and a blue tie.

"Now what should I do? I'll just practice a bit." Saying which Hikaru called Seven using the communicator present inside the room.

"You called for me milord?"

"Yes. Take me to the training room available in this building."

"This way milord." Seven said as he stepped into the elevator followed by Hikaru.

"We will be going to the basement which acts as a testing ground for Prototype CAD's thus it should be able to act as a substitute training ground."

"Hmm."

"We have arrived milord."

"Alright. You may leave now."

"Certainly. You will have 2 hours to train as we will have to depart after that. Anything you might need?"

"Give me a Generalized CAD. Preferably a small one and it doesn't need to be unique. I'll just need it for practice after all."

"I'll have someone fetch it for you. There should be plenty of it present in this building and the tuning shouldn't take too much time."

"Good."

"You may leave now." Hikaru said as Seven bowed a little before exiting the facility.

"Veil Dispersion." Hikaru said.

"Take these to the basement and fetch a tuner. Milord needs a Generalized CAD. Complete the process as soon as possible and needless to say, it should be perfect." Seven said to one of the Magic Engineer employed by Autumn Corps as he handed him a metallic briefcase.

"Yes sir!"

"Good." Seven said.

"Mr Goldhand, how may I assist you?" Seven asked Edward who was walking towards him.

"I would like you to arrange an extremely secured connection with the Main House Of the Akiyama Family. I would like to talk to my brother regarding the Artificial Eidos Recreation project, it's extremely important and I can't take any chances."

"I'll tell someone to arrange that." Seven said as he called someone using the communicator he carried alongside him.

"Milord it's time already." Ai said as she entered the training room.

"Is that so, let's go then." Hikaru said as both Ai and he entered the elevator.

"You have arrived milord. We will be departing in 10 minutes. A car will be responsible for taking you to the bus stop followed by 40 magicians who will be following you discreetly until you enter the island where the Advanced Nurturing Highschool is located. Once you enter the island, you will be on your own and Hayasaka will be taking care of your every need. The island in itself is protected by the government so you won't have to worry about assassins or the sort there especially since your identity is exceptionally hidden. But of course, in the off-chance something happens, you can just send us a signal and we will storm the school regardless of how many laws and peace treaties we may have broken." Seven said resolutely.

"Excellent. Let's go now."

"Of course." Seven said as he guided Hikaru to the car which started immediately after seven signalled the driver, also a magician.

"Ai, you will be my childhood friend as of this moment and will call me Hikaru from now on. We can't have you going around addressing me as milord." Hikaru said to Ai who just nodded as the car speeded along the highway.

"We have arrived milord. The bus should arrive in exactly 160 seconds from now." The driver said as he stopped in front of the deserted bus station. It was quite early in the morning, after all, you can't expect it to be filled.

"Let's go."

"Ah, wait for me Hikaru!" Ai said without any hint of doubt or hesitation in her face. Truly an elite maid.

"I'll take my leave now." The driver said as he parked the car in one of the convenience stores and walked away.

"Hey, Hikaru-Kun! What do you think will the school be like?"

"Ah, like a school I guess?"

"Jeez! I mean, aren't you excited? This is the Advanced Nurturing Highschool we are talking about!" Ai said reminding Hikaru as to why she was chosen as his personal maid. But before Hikaru could answer, the bus had arrived.

"Damn, it's filled to the brim. We will have to just stand I guess." Ai said.

"It seems so." Hikaru replied while analyzing the bus.

The bus was mostly filled with students from the Advanced Nurturing Highschool as their uniform indicated.

"Excuse me...could you please give up your seat?" A young girl asked a blonde boy who appeared to be of a similar age.

The young girl had short beige-coloured hair along with a pair of gradient crimson eyes. She had a well-endowed figure and an average height. The boy on the other hand is a well-built young man of above-average height with straight shoulder-length blonde hair and brown eyes.

"This is a priority seat and I think you should let this elderly lady sit there." The girl said while pointing at the frail-looking old lady beside her.

"My, My, now why should I give up on this seat? While it may be a priority seat, there is no law requiring me to relinquish it."

"You want me to give up my seat just because I am young? Nonsense, pure and simple."

"Even if I am young, standing consumes more energy than sitting. Why should I do something so detrimental with no benefit to myself?"

"I think you would be contributing to society. And this lady seems to be having trouble staying upright..." The young girl said as she still tried to persuade the boy.

"I have no interest in contributing to society."

"What do you think is going on Hikaru?" Ai asked Hikaru who was standing in front of her, blocking her view.

"Nothing, just a selfless girl arguing with a selfish boy, it's quite entertaining actually." Hikaru said as the bus came to a momentary halt before continuing which made Ai lose her balance.

"Be careful." Hikaru said as he prevented Ai's fall by hugging her before diverting his attention back to the entertaining argument.

"Un." Ai said, a small blush forming on her face as Hikaru continued to hug her albeit absent-mindedly.
