章 5: Chapter 4: Introductions
"I am in!" Kushida said she raised her hand.
"Me too! It sounds fun." Ai said.
"Yeah, I don't even know anyone's name."
"Thanks. And since I was the one who suggested it, I would like to introduce myself first." The boy said as he looked at everyone present in this room.
'This went better than I expected.' He thought while smiling slightly.
"I'm Yousuke Hirata. You can just call me Yosuke, no need for formality."
"I play all kinds of sports, and I intend to join the soccer club at this school. Nice to meet you all!" Yosuke said as the other students, mostly the girls cheered.
"I'll go next!" Kikyo said excitedly.
"My name is Kikyo Kushida. My goal is to become friends with each and every one of you!"
"I'd like to make lots of good memories, so don't hesitate to invite me anywhere!" Kikyo said as the boys cheered.
"I'll go next." Ai said.
"My name is Hayasaka Ai and I am looking forward to spending the next three years with you guys! I don't have a lot of hobbies but I am quite experienced with cosmetics, so I can help the girls regarding that and as for the boys, I am quite a good gamer myself so there is that. I was also part of the lawn tennis club in middle school and will most probably join the lawn tennis club in this school. Nice to meet you!" Ai said while making a victory sign near her eyes.
"Nice to meet you!" The other students said though the boys might have gotten a bit too fired up.
'She is gonna be quite popular heh, good for her. Now that I think about it, I never noticed it until now but she is quite cute.' Hikaru thought as he looked at the other students.
"Alright, I am fired up! There are so many cute girls in our class hehehehe. Ahem! My name is Kanji Ike. I love girls and I hate hot guys."
"I am always accepting new girlfriend applications!" Kanji said as the girls looked at him as if he was some exotic animal which was quite infectious while the boys looked at him with a warm smile.
'Wow, who said that? Must have taken a lot of courage.' Hikaru thought as he looked at Kanji who was now foolishly smirking.
"I am Haruki Yamauchi. In elementary school, I went to nationals in ping-pong. In middle school, I was the baseball club's ace and cleanup hitter. I am still recovering from an injury I got during the Inter-High and might not be able to join any club for quite some time." Haruki said.
"Oh wow! The inter-high, in middle school? That's so awesome." A boy said as he looked at Haruki.
'Heh.'
"Hehehe, it's nothing impressive." Haruki said while rubbing his nose, looking smug.
"Next Up...you!" Yosuke said.
"Huh? Me?" The boy asked Yosuke, seemingly confused.
"Yup." Yosuke said while smiling slightly.
"Um, my name is Kiyotaka Ayanokoji. I look forward to studying with you. I am not good at anything in particular and um, I'll work hard to get along with everyone." Kiyotaka said while pausing a little.
Kiyotaka is a handsome young man with brown hair and brown eyes. He generally has a fair complexion.
'The handsome outcast of the class I guess, but well it's too soon for me to make assumptions.' Hikaru thought.
"Okay then, next up is.."
"Introductions? Please. What are we, little kids? Do what you want, but leave us out of it." A red-haired boy said as he lashed out at Yosuke.
"Ah, it's okay if you don't want to. I apologize if I offended you in any way." Yosuke said as the atmosphere suddenly turned awkward.
"Tch!"
"I'll introduce myself. My name is Hikaru Akiyama. I was a member of the Lawn-Tennis club during middle school and frankly speaking, that's the only sport I excel at. I don't have any hobbies and am quite bad at video games and literature, so I may need your help regarding the latter. It's nice to meet you all and I am looking forward to the three years we will spend together." Hikaru said he sat down on his seat.
"It's nice to meet you too Akiyama-san." Yosuke said.
"Everyone, take your seats." A woman said as she walked into the classroom.
"I am Sae Chabashira, and I am the homeroom teacher for Class-D." Sae said as she introduced herself.
Sae is a young woman with long brown hair that is tied in a ponytail with bangs swept to the left alongside a pair of brown eyes and a well-endowed body.
"There will be no changing of classes in this school and I will be responsible for you for the next three years until you graduate." Sae said as she looked at everyone present in the classroom.
"First, I'll hand out the school rule book. Take one and pass it back." Sae said as she distributed a couple of rule books to the students seated in the first row.
"We have special rules at this school. First, you will live in dorms and, while at school, your ability to contact the outside world will be limited."
"But don't worry, the school offers a variety of facilities. Everything you need can be found here, including entertainment."
"To buy things, you will use points stored in the school's official computer system. At this school, you can buy anything using points. Points are allotted on the first of each month." Sae said as she passed on the Student ID to the students.
"One point is equal to one yen. You have already been allotted 100,000 points for this month"
"100,000 points!?"
"Are you serious?" And needless to say, her last sentence causes a commotion in the class. Well, a high school student wasn't given an allowance of 100,000 yen normally. so their reaction is quite normal.
'Hmm. This is enough for 2 months and maybe three if I use them sparingly.' Hikaru thought while staring at his ID.
"Are you surprised by the size of your allowance? The school judges students based on merit. You are attributed significant value just for being accepted here." Sae said.
"Use your points wisely and do not squander them. We will be starting the class now." Sae said before opening a book.
'Merit. Quite a vague term actually. I'll need some more intel on it.' Hikaru thought as he stared at the white board.
