Clyde's pair of blue irises widened at the question, and the frown on his forehead deepened when he heard the blond voice out his suspicion again.

"I couldn't contact anyone because you... You took out my SIM card. Not to mention that I was lost wandering for more than two days," he said, gently waking up from the man's embrace and wiping his wet cheeks with the back of his hand.

After taking a deep breath, Ryley asked again, "How come they learned that you and I were there? Did you speak to someone about it?"

The Alpha shook his head in a slow motion, not a word came out. Dangerous light crossed his sharp gaze as numerous figures appeared on his mind.

"Then, what about your doctor friend? Didn't you call him there?"

Clyde stretched his brows and answered, "Adrian couldn't have told anyone else that he was visiting. He's my close friend and I've known him since childhood, so don't doubt him."
