章 389: I Thought You Died

Hailey had never been so relaxed after she finally moved in with Dallin. Not having to worry about monsters anymore really took a weight off her shoulders. She was able to do things from her bucket list that she never would have thought were possible and was perfectly at peace. 

Until Jordan called at least. He was checking in to be sure she was alive since she hadn't called him since she asked him what he knew about hellhounds. 

She had to be careful what she said since her boyfriend was home and might overhear something. She excused herself to go hang out in the spare bedroom that functioned as an office while on the call since he was in the living room. 

"Hey, Jordan," she said once she answered. 

"That's all you have to say after not calling me for months? You always have questions about something or other. I thought you died."
