章 25: Mutualism

Romeo had noticed that Annalise seemed more upset than usual for a few days but didn't know why until she threw his urology bill at him. He was in trouble. Big trouble. He wasn't sure how to talk his way out of this one without telling the terrible truth. 

She was mad that he didn't ever tell her anything without understanding that he couldn't. She wouldn't believe him. And even if she did, she wouldn't be able to accept it. 

He tried explaining that but she kept pushing until he had to admit that he would lose her if he told her and wouldn't be able to survive that. It was the honest truth. He was entirely dependent on her at this point in so many different ways. 

Annalise still didn't back down. "Romeo. You aren't going to lose me. I promise. Can you please tell me what's going on? I want to understand."
