章 34: Monster attack
Noah entered Gina's tent and saw that she was sitting on a chair looking at the entrance of the tent, waiting for him...
As soon as Noah entered, Gina flashed a brilliant smile filled with love.
She stood up, walked to the mattress, and started undressing while maintaining eye contact with Noah.
Noah displayed a small smile but suddenly his expression changed and he gestured for her to stop.
She was confused, she used her techniques to sense her surroundings but didn't find anything out of ordinary.
Noah looked in a particular direction and frowned slightly.
"Get ready to fight!" he warned her and left the tent.

Meanwhile, the Imperial guards who were keeping a watch suddenly saw a grey-colored humanoid figure approaching them.
This is the first time they saw such a monster.
Not all Dungeons are cleared and many of them go undiscovered.
Over the years, magical beings that have escaped the Dungeons are in large numbers.
After all, these Dungeons or Teleportation portals are very unstable.
It is single-handedly managed by 'Exiled Prison Realms', hence an event known as 'Dungeon Break' occurs during which beings that are trapped in 'Exiled Prison Realms' are able to escape using these portals.
The Dungeons are opened for those magical beings for only a short amount of time before, the world going through the process of [Evolution of World] sends a distress signal to 'Exiled Prison Realm' to close off that particular Teleportation portal.
Many magical beings that have been collected by many [Immortals] over the years are able to escape during this short period of time.
'Dungeon Breaks' are common, since many Dungeons remain hidden for a long period of time.
And, if people do not enter the Dungeon and clear the surrounding areas of the teleportation portal which leads to 'Exiled Prison Realm', magical beings will eventually escape as soon as the portal turns unstable.
Right now, the Imperial guards knew that they were facing a new species and they didn't dare to get too close.
They launched their attacks from a long-range.
The humanoid figure was grey in color and 2.5 meters tall with thin long arms, a muscular chest, and thin long legs. It neither had a face nor any facial features.
It looked like a mass of greyish slime put together to form a humanoid figure and they were not too far from the truth...
As soon as the first one was spotted several similar humanoid figures appeared as well from different parts of the forest.

Noah entered Ares's tent and woke her up and warned her to get ready to fight.
Ares's eyes were filled to brim with excitement.
She has never fought monsters and only trained with Valentina and Noah.
The prospects of fighting and going all out instead of sparring where you have to hold back to not injure your opponent seriously was very exhilarating.
Then he left and immediately entered Valentina's tent.
Ares quickly got up and got dressed in a battle suit that had various magical enchantments which Noah gifted to Gina, Valentina, and Ares.
It was a neon pink colored, tight-fitted, full-body suit with several runes on it which has many defensive properties along with self-regeneration using mana from the surroundings.
Mana is just a form of [Energy]. Using [Energy] to self-regenerate a piece of clothing is not difficult especially if you have a [Immortal] to create such a thing.
It was very easy for Noah to achieve such a feat.
As soon as Noah entered Valentina's tent he saw her sitting cross-legged in a lotus position on a mattress.
Valentina was diligently cultivating and as soon as Noah told her to get ready to fight her eyes also filled to brim with the same excitement that Ares had.
Noah smiled wryly and thought 'Heh~... Apple doesn't fall far from the tree!' in his mind.
Valentina also got dressed in a similar battle suit which was neon blue in color with several runes glowing on it after Noah left.
Noah was waiting outside the tent with Gina by his side who was also dressed in a similar black colored battle suit.
Noah was the only one who was wearing a t-shirt, jeans, and casual sneakers of a 'famous brand'.
If any [Immortal] saw Noah dressing up in a similar 'battle-suit they would scoff at the battle-suit!
As soon as they all gathered, sounds of battle could be heard from the forests where the Imperial guards were stationed.
Soon an alarm rang within the camp alerting everyone of an attack.
"How did you know Noah?" Valentina asked, she was surprised how she was not able to find anything out of ordinary with her technique [Energy Detection], which she has developed in the past few days after her recent progress in both the fields of [Anti-Energy] and [Energy].
Unfortunately, she has a long way to go before comparing her half-baked technique with Noah's [Horizon Vision].
Noah leaned forward and whispered in her ear "Mother, don't underestimate your own son" feeling his hot breath on her ear caused Valentina to tremble a little.
Noah pulled out his tongue and licked her ear slightly, to Ares and Gina it looked like he was only whispering something but then...
Noah was sent flying for about 10 meters with a kick in his stomach before he fell on the ground!
'What did he say?' thought Ares and Gina while slightly tilting their head in confusion as several question marks appeared over their head.
"I will kick somewhere very painful next time!" Valentina snorted and lead the way towards the fight.
'So cute!'
Noah got up with a wry smile and chuckled loudly. Teasing his mother every now and then has become one of his favorite hobbies over the years.
All of them arrived at the site of battle quickly after the alarm rang.
The Imperial guards were unleashing their attacks on 6 greyish humanoid figures.
'The monsters are very strange and probably a new species that escaped from the Dungeons' thought the three girls.
They saw that the Imperial guards were not in a good condition.
A couple of them died, while some were injured heavily.
"The situation is bad!" Valentina exclaimed in joy since her body was itching for a fight.
"You are right, mother! hehe," Ares giggled upon seeing the horrible situation with excitement.
Gina looked at the mother and daughter pair with a face full of disbelief!
'Why are you laughing?! We might die today!!' thought Gina.
She glanced towards Noah hoping to find slight uneasiness or distress on Noah's face, something different from the mother and daughter who are crazily excited about fighting.
But-
Gina got another shock-
Noah had a nonchalant Pokerface as if he couldn't care less even if the Empire falls tomorrow!
Gina felt awkward and felt out of place...
She was already 203 years old, an A-rank adventurist in the past, and her skills were superb during her time, but she didn't like fighting life and death battles...so she chose a simple job.
But now she felt a strange feeling brewing in her heart...
C-rank kids at 17 years are either excited or calmer than her!
Their genius mother who is only 83 years old, reached SSS-rank at the age of 65 and is still the same crazy battle-maniac that rumors used to say about her personality.
Gina, as the lover of a member of such an amazingly talented family, felt iffy.
'Did I make the right choice?'
'Am I a coward?'
'Or do I just value my life more than them?'
'No! They value their lives just like me...but why do I feel unsatisfied with just being the director of a famous brand?'
'Do I deserve to be a part of such an amazingly talented family?'
She kept asking herself these questions trying to find an answer...
"Interesting! They can regenerate!" explained Valentina after observing the fight for some time...
Ares formed two neon pink-colored [Energy Swords] in both of her hands and said in a joyful tone "Let's go, Mom, Brother!" She completely disregarded Gina's existence subconsciously since her womanly senses kept telling her that Gina and Noah had something.
She noticed how Gina was the first one to get ready, while Noah was busy warning her and her mother!
'WHORE!' was the only word flashing in her mind when she saw Gina...but her excitement for battle was at an all-time high, hence she put those thoughts at the back of her mind!
Noah took out a Saber that was sheathed on his waist as soon as it got out from his storage ring.
Valentina formed a neon blue scythe out of thin air, and soon the edge of the scythe was covered in greyish color.
Gina took out a jet-black colored Warhammer!
And soon the battle began!
