章 28: and it all comes to an end
"my lady," I heard Zoe call out uncertainly.
"as amusing as this is little Arty, I came to help again," I said as she floated off of me.
"What did you do to my friend," Thalia said pointing her spear at me.
"don't," Artemis tried to warn her.
"Indeed it's not wise to fight people about your power level," I said.
"but "Percy" was me. he was a clone that I sent to aid you in your quest. his memory is my own, and I do hope you forgive me for that," I said.
"you talk like your old," Thalia said.
I laughed, accidentally causing an earthquake and scaring the kids
"Sorry, haven't laughed in over a millennium. yes, I am old... I was there when the gods were born. wanna see some pictures," I said pulling out my book of pictures.
"look how adorable Hestia is, then there's hades, Zeus who had a big head. oh, look how chubby Arty was," I said about to show them the picture.
"that's enough of that," Artemis said taking the book away, only for it to go into my personal space.
"oh yes, I forgot we need to go camp half-blood. so teleportation, water travel, or fire," I asked.
"how come I don't have your mythomagic card," asked a curious Nico.
"Because history doesn't know about me. you guys haven't even seen my face," I said pulling off my hood.
"wow you look old," Thalia said causing me to smile.
"it must have been hard for you daughter of Zeus, but for now we need to get ourselves a prophecy," I said before turning to the hunters.
"Is there a McKinsey here," I said looking around?
hesitantly a girl raised her arm.
"a good, happy birthday. hope you don't mind purple. I fell in love with the color a while ago," I said pulling out a cake.
"I have a question," Bianca said gathering her courage.
"ask away," I said.
"If you are so old... and nobody knows you. then where were you all this time," she asked.
"well, it all started when Arty here was born. I delivered her and helped Leto with Apollo and after that, I left. I met an old friend named Lucifer. speaking of him he should be coming to earth soon.
besides the point. I was with him for a while. I didn't have children, but I did witness firsthand all of the wars. I'm technically a war veteran myself.
after this war, I'm going to live a slacker life. either that or live in the wild, still haven't figured it out," I said.
"then do you know a Luke," Thalia asked?
"ah... Luke castellan. yes, I do know him. he is following his fate, a tragic but needed fate," I sighed.
"then can you help me find him," she asked eagerly.
"While I can't help him, I can help you," I said looking at her.
"help me with what," she asked generally confused.
"Jason is alive and your paths will cross again. now that I said that it's time for you guys to get going to camp," I said.
"Jackson," she yelled as she disappeared.
"That was very rude," Artemis said.
"It's true that I was rude, but I have been hanging out with Lucifer and gotten into the habit of speaking my mind," I told her.
"anyways would you like to get some coffee or something," I asked her.
"We have a lot to catch up on," she said.
like that our story was over. Luke killed himself again to stop Kronos, and gaea was defeated. Artemis and I got married this time, on our terms and not Zeus'.
order was stopped the right way this time. Oh, and Lucifer was the best man at the wedding.
just like that, everything must come to an end. mine just happened to take a few tries.
