章 22: Chapter 22: Introduction to the Mafia World

I continued kissing him wildly as he gently pushed me against the wall and devoured my mouth. He kissed the nape of my neck once again when he parted and then he stopped.

I breathed heavily, not wanting him to stop—which made things worse because it confused me so much. How could I hate him and still want him at the same time?

"Xavier," I whispered and he looked at me. He smiled and kissed me once again and then got away, sighing.

"You still taste the same, Scarlet," He whispered back. "I will never forget this taste."

I looked at him as he took a few steps back and turned around. He was different at this moment and I couldn't phantom what his real intentions were. What did he want from me?

Did he choose me because I was the one that night?

"The difference between me and you, Scarlet…" He said, without facing me. I heard him sigh before he continued: "Even when you have a part of me with you, you still choose to forget that night; and I… I just can't do that."
