章 165: Confession

Vanessa's heart raced as she gazed at him, stunned by the response he had given. She wasn't sure if this was what she expected or had wanted to hear, but more than that she didn't understand what these words truly meant for him, and it seemed he wasn't done yet.

Alex took a step closer, and while he had expected her to take a retreating one, she stood firm with her eyes glued to him.

"I know this might be unexpected and very surprising for you given what happened between us, but believe me it's also as surprising for me."

"Imagine my surprise when I woke up everyday to thinking of you, imagining you here with me and having breakfast with me. I thought of you everyday, and while it drove me mad to ever want someone like that, I realized I'd rather be helplessly insane and have you, than be stupidly sane and not have you," Alex said as he slowly hand reached for her forearm.
