章 86: I can't sleep with you every night

Ivo waited for about fifteen minutes, until he knew for sure Guilherme and Letícia would be settled in bed, and then he went down the stairs. 

Davi was at his post in the living room, facing the open windows and the opaque blackness outside. Keeping up the facade of looking out for threats that would never come, because the real danger was inside the house.

Ivo stood on top of the stairs and whistled at him, not wanting to show himself. There was surveillance in all of the lower floor. Possibly only video; Guilherme would want to monitor his staff, but not risk any of his own compromising conversations being caught as well.

Davi turned towards the sound. Ivo nodded up towards his bedroom, making his intention clear. Davi's eyes met his, but he had no reaction, the light from the terrace cast a flickering, eerie glow on his handsome face.
