章 19: Lin Qin
"Actually…." Chao Xing paused for a moment not knowing what to say
She wasn't sure whether to tell Lin Qin about her secret or not.
'What if she doesn't believe me?'
'What if she tells someone else too?'
These thoughts were stopping Chao Xing from telling her anything.
"I am waiting.." Lin Qin suspiciously looked at her.
At that point Chao Xing couldn't even think of any excuse. She thought and thought but when nothing came in her mine, she heaved a big sigh before looking at Lin Qin.
Heaving a huge sigh again, Chao Xing let out these words, "Lin Qin, I want to tell you something."
"What? I am listening?"
"Actually…. I found this magical diary. It gives me Riddles to solve to get the answers to my questions."
Lin Qin narrowed her eyes, "Magic book?"
True to Cha Xing's suspicions, Lin Qin couldn't believe all this. The information was too much for her
"What? A magical book? How is this possible?"
Embarrassed by her own words, Chao Xing scratched the back of her neck. She knew it was hard to believe what she was saying. Even she herself couldn't believe herself.
"Lin Qin, I know it's hard to believe but I am telling the truth."
Putting her head down she thought for a while before saying, "Let me take a look at it."
The book which was in Chao Xing's hands she pushed it towards Lin Qin.
As she was looking at it Chao Xing looked at her hope in her eyes thinking she might believe her as she further explained,"Dream is the answer to my first riddle."
"...."
"But….. I still can't get anything else. What does the word dream have to do with me?"
Lin Qin was getting more confused each passing moment.
"I can't get anything! Why riddles? What questions?"
Chao Xing was actually going to not tell her the whole truth to her at first but now she knew she wouldn't leave her until she tells her about everything else too.
Looking here and these she thought of a way to spill this information to Lin Qin.
"I want to tell you something else too."
Lin Qin, who had the book in her hands anticipatingly looked at her waiting for answers.
"I don't know if you will even believe me or not but let me tell you whatever I am going to tell you is the truth."
"Go on….. I am listening….."
"I am not from this Era." Closing her eyes Chao Xing said the whole sentence in one go.
"...."
Lin Qin on the other hand made a disgusting face.
'Does she think I am stupid or what? Why is making up this stupid stuff out of nowhere?'
Lin Qin looked at her more suspiciously now. She started to think maybe Chao Xing is not in her senses, that's why she is spouting nonsense like this.
Opening her eyes Chao Xing looked at Lin Qin and further added, "I came from the future. Somehow I just transmigrated her into the body of this girl. I am trying to find ways to go back to my own time."
"...."
Not knowing what to reply Lin Qin stayed quiet and waited for her to complete her sentence.
Looking at her face Chao Xing knew she wasn't believing her, "You don't believe me?"
Focusing on the pitiful face of Chao Xing, Lin Qin started to have double thoughts.
"Stop joking already."
"I am not…."
"....."
Even though this all was hard for her to believe still she wanted to believe her. Releasing her words she couldn't help but ask, "This means you will go away from here?"
"I have to, I don't belong here."
"I will miss you…." With a pout Lin Qin said.
Chap Xing smiled at her but then she realised what she said just now.
"Wait. Does this mean you believe me?"
Lin Qin smiled and nodded her head a little, "Even though it's hard for me to believe all this. But if you are saying that then I am sure it will be true."
Those words of Lin Qin were enough to melt Chao Xing's heart. This means there was finally someone here in this world who Chao Xing could believe.
Feeling blessed, Chao Xing said, "Thanks." She further added, "You know you are really good."
"You too."
Holding Chao Xing's hand Lin Qin smiled and thanked her, "Thanks for cheering me up."
"By the way, tell me how you came here?"
"I don't know myself, I want to find out too. This is the book of the previous owner of this body. She has written about the events of her life on this."
Lin Qin looked down at the book and started to flip those pages hurriedly reading some of the words over it.
Chao Xing further added,"And somehow this book talks to me. Whenever I say something, some words appear on it."
Lin Qin looked at Chao Xing with excitement, "Wow!"
"Huh?" Chao Xing looked at her, she wasn't expecting such a reply.
"I mean this is so exciting. I want to do this too."
Laughing at the childish behaviour of Lin Qin Chao Xing replied, "This is not a game, girl."
"But this sounds so interesting. I want to help you too."
With a pout, she pitifully gave Chao Xing a look to which even if she wanted to say no, she couldn't after seeing that cute little girl in front of her.
"Well a company wouldn't hurt now. Would it?"
Lin Qin shook her head here and there excitedly.
Chao smiled brightly before saying, "Sure you can help. I would love it."
"Yaaay." With that she jumped over Chao Xing and hugged her tightly.
Both of them were smiling like idiots.
"Hey! Get off of me." Chao Xing tried pushing Lin Qin off of her as she was completely over her.
Hearing that Lin Qin moved back and sat straight in front of her, "Sorry."
"So tell me what's the next riddle?"
