This has to be a joke.

I don't want to believe these words that are coming out of this woman's mouth. How is she supposed to expect me to believe her over the man I have known all my life?

I might have a rocky relationship with my father but at the same time, he cannot be the one responsible for all this.

"Who is the leader of the Syndicate?" Gabriel asks Emily.

I am still trying to process everything that was said. I am quiet but I don't even know what to say.

"That will cost you more," she smiles, enjoying herself a little too much.

Gabriel sighs "Come on Em, I already agreed to help you with Brandon. Do you know what it is to go looking for someone in a vampire coven? The least you can do is help us with all the questions we have."

She laughs "Do you know how I got all this information that you require."

Gabriel rolls his eyes "You are a friend. Friends should help each other."
