章 370: UNSCHEDULED DEPARTURE - PART 2

Sterling opened the bedroom door, but to his surprise, it was not the maid with Faye's food that awaited him on the other side.

It was Kylek, with his twin sister, Kalandra, hanging onto his left arm. They stood patiently in the doorway, waiting to enter the room. 

"Good evening, your Grace." Kylek cordially greeted the Duke when the door creaked as he swung it open to let them in. "We received your summons." 

Sterling poked his head into the hallway, looking cautiously from side to side to make sure no one was watching. 

Then, he hurriedly hustled the twin mages into the room when he felt the coast was clear. 

Kylek glanced at the Duke with curiosity as he watched him act nervously. Faye, too, wondered what was going on and why Sterling was suddenly acting so paranoid. 

He locked eyes with Kylek, his expression severe. "Sorry for the secrecy. I have confirmed there are spies among us."
