章 47: Forty Seven

I wasn't sure how long I danced that night, or how many drinks I had, or how many drunken strangers had their hands all over my body. I didn't care, either. That night, I just wanted to forget.

Eventually, I was all but dragged out of the club by my friends as I deliriously stumbled behind them.

I didn't even realise when I'd gotten into Sam's car and arrived at my doorstep as Toby fumbled for my keys in my pockets. I giggled, leaning against him.

"Toby, have I ever mentioned I love you? You're like... My best friend in the whole wide world."

"Jesus, how much have you had to drink?" He sighed, also slightly tipsy as he struggled to get the key into the lock.

"I don't know but... I just know I had a great fucking time with you two."

"You need to get some sleep."

"I just need love... Love me!" I wrapped my arms around him, digging my face into his neck.

"Oh... What's going on here?"
