Darkness engulfed Jia's house. Even the coffee mug just a few feet away from him wasn't visible to Mingshen anymore.

"It's too dark, Spicy," he commented, tilting his head.

Jia grimaced in darkness. "Thanks for pointing out the obvious."

"I am seriously asking. What happened to the power?"

"It's out."

"Out?"

"What is your definition of power going out, Mingshen? It happens here from time to time."

"Where is the generator here?"

"I don't have a generator here."

She heard a pitiful gasp. "You live without electricity here? Doesn't it feel like you are in exile? Do you want to live like a monk?"

Ah I hate rich people so much…

Jia stood up and switched on the mobile's flashlight. She cautiously limped her way to the kitchen. She wanted to open the lower end of the drawer but her knee hurt as she did.
