Rising to his feet, Song Zhuyu approached the window, gazing at the darkness beyond. Sure enough, his ears were not playing a trick on him. It was unmistakably the cry of a baby he was hearing. Considering how the sound even reached the top of the hill where he was, it should be… extremely loud?
