章 58: Children's Game

Diane and Maya looked through a few properties before settling for a smaller one with the best view.

As soon as Maya made her decision, she shifted to make a call to her father and spoke to him in their Italian language for almost five minutes before turning to give Diane a thumbs-up with a smile that reached her eyes.

It was surprising that Maya was an Italian descent yet she spoke English so fluently that you would never hear that accent from her, well unless she wanted you to.

"How did you manage to convince him to get the house for you because I can tell that you both argued a bit?" Diane asked the moment they got into the car and drove out of the driveway of the new villa she would be paying for the next day.

Maya gave her nails a good glance before responding, "I told him that I would be on my best behaviour and no longer appear on the news for the worst case."

"And he believed you?" Diane's brows piqued.
