A valid concern. Though i must say, how many people really stay the same as they were all throughout their lives? People change over time, thats called gaining experience and growing up, and a person is never done growing up despite what they might tell you. In other words, Its okay to change a little bit, even if it is scary sometimes. I think what they really want is to not lose their previous experiences as they have helped define who they are today.
I honestly don't know if the memories of this life will come back, but I don't see if they will be important or not. What I don't want is to disappear and become someone else.
