honestly the book is good, but the author lacks the ability to convey. He overexplains, repeats, drags a scene for far too long, destroys the charcters personality he built by making them say and do dumb stuff…there’s so much I can talk about. Author a message to you. Idk if it’s ur greed to pump out more chapters, but ur quality has drastically fallen after starting premium. This is how you lose fans. It’s honestly disappointing.

It’s just not well though out. I liked the first 2 chapter, but went down hill after. It’s a great concept, just bad execution.

In the real world and in cote which stays within the realms of reality, they are not going to go to the conclusion that’s it’s magic. Do u not have social media? Surely you have seen a video that looks supernatural. Yet everyone in the comments is suspicious. It would have been more believable if manabu though the mc used a scientific trick then automatically going to the conclusion it’s magic. Also ur acting like fire can not burn you into cinder. Here’s a small lesson, some metals and oxygen can increase the rate of combustion can turn you into dust. I promise you, if this happened in real life. You would also think it’s not magic. Humans are naturally suspicous and would try to figure out how it happens rather than this is what happened. Especially in COTE. And if you do. Then we do not need to converse any further. Because it’s a telling of your intelligence.

Like we would not have though ‘oh he was doused in petrol’ not ‘woah did he use magic’ heck even L from deathnote did a controlled experiment to figure out how they are dying before coming to the conclusion that it’s supernatural.

A good horror story puts you on edge. Likewise a good fanfic stays to its elements. This is a story of geniues not conspiracy theorist. and before you try to use L in your argument. At least read everything I wrote under this review. I made my case. Even L used a controlled experiment to find out how Kira does it. Which lead him to decide it’s supernatural. Not oh that’s definitely magic bs. L conjecture after his experiment is more believable than what the author of the story did with the combustion and the student going straight to supernatural.

Also dont compare L as he’s some sort of genius.characters are only as smart as their authors. Author of death note can’t compete with real geniuses in intelligence or detective ability in our world.

One incident is not enough to label a supernatural. Imagine if this was in our world. Yh conspiracy theories would exist. But people would ultimately think it’s the government or a group doing something. COTE is literally based on reality not fantasy like Deathnote.
