A boy ends up attacked in the woods...then his life changes forever.

This is a story that I originally posted on my blog, I decided to also post it here.
I do want to point out that Max is a spin-off series that I am also posting here, it's based a few years after the events of Apex.

Just figured I'd say something. This is the first book in what is supposed to be a series of four. The next book that is based in this world actually follows another character around instead of the main in this one, then the third book based in this world will return to this character's POV. I do have a bonus chapter posted on my Patreon for this book and it is also posted on my blog. I've had to take a temporary Hiatus from writing as I recently lost my job haha, so I don't know when I will be able to post my next story, but I will continue to try to work on it, so that's something, right? I usually write horror/fantasy, though I don't think that the horror tag really suits my stories as I do not find them scary at all, so I put this under the fantasy tag instead.
