I really enjoyed this very strong and mature FL! I thought it will be another typical rebirth story...still I decided to read because of its unique offering of many capable female characters. so glad i did for this novel is such a good one. 👍 No long winded story nor conversation; everything is to the point and yet clearly explain the situations and the intricate struggle. Good translation too. Great job, Author.
Goodness! I'm hooked. So far, chapter 80, this is the saddest story I have ever read. The FL is intelligent, determined and brave. She has no easy way to get a better outcome - it's not simply a let me ditch the scheming fiance and all will be better (although she does that too). There is a love interest but he's not a love interest in her (or his) eyes at the moment, so don't expect a quick romance story either. This, so far, is a story about a woman soldier who is injured and cannot fight on the battlefield, who has to make herself strong enough to fight for her family in her own home. It's a story of righteousness and sisterhood. I looked up the MTL and there are 1500+ chapters of this so it's early days to say if it's a masterpiece but so far it is definitely amazing. And the difference from the MTL is incredible. Kudos to the translator for making the effort. Highly recommended
This gave me too much grief everytime i read the chapters where it started to show the demise of the loyal soldiers. I really love the book and how it was plotted. Truelly well written and craved to read more of it. Thanks 🙏
The FL is the eldest daughter of a military family, retired at a young age due to injuries, and her family is caught up in imperial plotting and drama. I've checked a few novels that follow this premise, but this one is by far the best - the main character is intelligent and compelling, the drama is thrilling and quite gripping, and so far (ch. ~130) there have been no glaring plot holes that insult the readers intelligence. xD I absolutely recommend this story, it is fantastic and I'm dying for the next chapters.

I really love this storyline of ML and FL both fighting for their own futures/countries separately such strong characters without having to compromise themselves but to adjust during hard times and still be affectionate towards one another and not like the same sob story of ML saving a damsel in distress love the emphasis of loyalty to the people and not the imperial family and such generations of military dedication and merit oh how i wish people still think and feel the camaraderie and warmth of people again but anyways I love everything I love it!!! ❤️

It sounds similar to the Chinese tv show “oh my general!” A woman who is a war god who is set to marry a prince I hope this is a good read and has tons of war scenes and fighting. I like a book that has a good feminine war hero like this

i realy like this book. worth reading. just has some small translation errors where he, she, him, her. get confused sometines with so many caracters with close names like the female hidden guard named shen. many times is refered to as he. also sone inconsistent numbers like the 10 000 surrenedered xilliang troops at some point became 100 000 among other numbers changing from one chapter to the next . but over all a verry good book.
well written.. author you know how to hook the readers.. Amazing skill.. It's an emotional roller coaster for me whenever i read about bai family men.... well done👏

Wow, this is a great novel. The FL is so strong, and so is the rest of her female relative. It is very sad about the demise of the male descendants. I hate it when an emperor doesn't appreciate loyalty but plot against them. The treatment of the soldiers were heart breaking.
