Shoved into the backseat of his father's car right after graduation, Riley Hale ended up marching toward a company building with a bagged lunch and a pen.
Still in his toga, the fresh graduate never thought he’d land in the office of the continent’s top lizard, err, dragon, as his aide.
And that would’ve driven any person wishing for a corporate career to tears. After all, who wouldn’t want to serve the fastest ticket up the corporate ladder: Kael Dravaryn, the infamously elegant, unhinged, and extremely overpowered Dragon Lord of the continent?
Well, that would be Riley.
The same Riley who didn’t expect to spend his days dodging fireballs, dressing his boss in robes more complicated than dark magic, and serving as a literal target during morning sparring.
Now trapped in a job he never truly agreed to, the hardworking aide decided to hold out until it was time for his glorious resignation. But leaving a dragon’s clutches could never be easy, especially one with elemental mastery and a finger worth a private army.
Yet, as Riley, who longs to quit, attempts to navigate ancient politics, wyvern threats, and other accidents (many of which are definitely not his fault), he might just hallucinate himself into seeing something beneath his boss’s arrogance and molten glares.
Maybe he’d actually care if Riley got turned to ash.

The author is so good at grabbing your attention and leaving you on a cliffhanger that I just want to cry (in grief) every time I finish a chapter!!! I get way too happy when the book gets an update. Author! Wah! I love you, but you make it so painful to be patient!!! Of course, don’t burn yourself out, would never want that! But at the same time, I’m dying over how good the story is! I’m not one to comment much, but I couldn’t help commenting on the last few chapters! The world building, the story, the conflict! It’s all top tier storytelling quality. I love Riley’s chaotic energy and exasperation! And Kael’s matter of fact unbotheredness 😂 You’ve got me laughing in tears at times and screaming in surprise in others! Anyone who thinks this book follows a generic fantasy plot line should have their world views shattered. This is an amazing unconventional story that’s both hilarious and entertaining, as well as an emotional rollercoaster. DEFINITELY GIVE THIS BOOK A READ!

I love how it's Not the classic cold CEO and new cute assistant that gradually fall in love, it's more like: WHAT THE FUDGE IS EVEN HAPPENING I'LL UNALIVE EVERYONE THAT TOUCHES RILEY type of thing, but the plot progresses smoothlyalongside me needing to UNALIVE people. Anyway, good book keep it up. And this goes straight to my reading list. Also, WN, ur aa b**** for making me retype this whole sh*t

I am one of those person who loves supernatural stuff and at first when I read the intro I was like hmm but as I dive deeper in to the story I fell in love with Riley and the Lizard Lord this book is cute funny crazy and very very interesting and I love it
I feel like I rarely go out of my way to rate a book, but I had to for this one. This author put Crack in this book. I could not put it down. I bought coins specifically for this book and now I'm caught up waiting for chapters. 10/10 book. Characters are intelligent and make decisions that make sense. The world building is phenomenal. I absolutely OBSESSED with this story.🥰😍 The MC is funny, intelligent, sarcastic. The ML is grumpy and proud, but thankfully begins to show more emotion and engagement over time.
