I enjoyed this story more than I expected lol I like wizards that invoke magic without fully relying on tools. Like throwing magic bullets with the flick of their finger or holding a fireball. Hell yeah! It's exciting. The translation quality isn't terrible. You might come across the usual WebNovel MTL proofreaderless shenanigans here and there, but it doesn't disrupt the flow of the story. I paid no mind. I actually appreciate the author for not making the MC sound like a sleezy old pervert. He is solely focused on gaining knowledge, improving himself and unlocking the many secrets of his golden finger. That doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate beauty, but he doesn't drool all over nor is the language all thirsty. Anyway, just because I found the story enjoyable doesn't mean you will too. So go read the free chapters and judge it yourself
Chapters read: 36 The beginning of the story felt like a twist of the Hunger Games on a larger scale, with different places and districts sending their young children. It feels like a world of survival of the fittest among mages where only those who show no mercy towards their enemies survive for long. It's definitely not a happy go lucky, magical unicorns and laughter kind of mage story. I like that Wizards, apprentices and those stepping into the wizarding world don't have to have a wand to cast spells. There are magic tools, but one's power is more innate and doesn't revolve around a wand. I enjoyed the story and binge read. Regardless of the review, do a taste test and see if the story is to your liking or not

I found this story as a result of a narration on YouTube, and am now thoroughly enjoying reading from where the narration ended.
I like to think of this fire lizard as Salamanders Astartes with Heavy Flamer. I hope to see some improvement on their armors and battle tactics maybe some more exposure too, because thats that only redeeming factor on this novel the other things like research on nightmare world, basic potion research, gene mutation and experiment and his martial arts shit is too boring and unnecessary. Why would you be a CQC wizard when you have spells. Also, the spells mentioned here are mostly too basic. Does the author even play mmorpg or jrpg? i mean, wizard there mostly OP, especially on the later stage.
Sry, but some of the basic concept and descriptions encountered in the first chapter were a complete turn off in reading this. It's like the author had absolutely no idea what they were actually writing... 😐
Chapters Read: 111 If you're a first time light novel reader then this book is fine. However if you're a monarch with novels, this feels like dozen of cloned novels bunched together. The beginning was great, after the paywall was introduced another new novel was placed.
This is suppose to be a Wizard novel and The MC is suppose to be able to refine anything and everything but it turns out to be an MC who uses sword and only gets body amplification to get stronger. Like WTF is wrong with you explaining one thing on the summary and giving another on the novel. I blame WebNovel and I heir poor management if not novels like this should be scrapped
he can't refine shit except for knowledge. Refine bodies of defeated enemies to improve physical strength? nope. Refine magic beast corpse for some sort of strength boost? nope. Refine magic stones or magic tools? nope. Refine corpse of guy with "legendary bloodline" that he killed? nope.
