Lore wise it doesn't exist that magic. first you need to comprehend what in fate lore true magic is. right know in the modern world magic is dying because science is little by little finding how to produce or manifest certain phenomenons for exemple Hurricanes in old times was believed that it was the ire of the gods, the same as other natural dissasters but in present times we know that they are created by other means like temperature, air currents, even the movement of the earth. so magic that was created using the old lore died and became magecraft. The only that for the moment is considered true magic is what for us is science fiction, time travel, travel between realities, the creation of nothingness, destiny, etc. so that are Magic because they mantain their mysticism and it will be very very far in the future for those magics to became ordinary magecraft. Denial of nothingness as the others have mentioned is fanon, Firtst magic is the creation of ether lumps and thats not even confirmed at 100% not even Kinoko Nasu has said what the magics are. So don't try to use magic or give it to the mc, you need to pay a price for that knowledge and root will always take that price. why do you think a lot of magecraft users die every year trying to reach root? Root will always take what it gives in the end, even Toko and his sister are not even close to escape froom root.
