Honestly, this is the story that got me into romance novels. The trauma Maxi deals with alongside Riftan's inability to emote makes for a relatively believable conflict within their growing relationship. Their desires are at odds with one another while also ultimately wishing for the same end goal of a harmonious relationship with the other, and it is really well written. I'm glad that the original author is being credited for their work, I am, but I'm not about to spend $40 on one book to only end up still being 200 chapters behind where I actually am in the story. I check back in when chapter 272 gets published.
