I can understand your sentiment on this one. As I was reading the story, I realized that the first few chapters were not too terribly exciting, however, I do think I did better in the ones that followed.

Your point is very valid. I admit that at first, I wanted to follow the plot somewhat closely, at least for the beginning portion of the novel. However, your argument has made me reconsider my stance a little. I am not sure how well I will be able to deviate from the original plot, at least at the beginning of this novel, but I will keep it in mind. However, this is also ultimately a hobby, I don't get paid at all nor am I expecting to. The main goal for me is to have fun, so it can be said that I am rather selfish and childish in that regard, and I'm sorry if this disappoints you in the future. Thank you for the encouragement and for being civil, I hope you find a novel that suits you in the future, whether that is mine or not.

In that sense then my novel isn't so different. I meant it more in regards to how the MC in those fanfics are op by virtue of being the MC, or they gain power too quickly and so the following plot is just a series of stomps and descriptions about how their MC is the best. I'm also trying to be different by developing relationships as opposed to creating them. Also thank you for clarifying.
