According to sociologists Ariela Keysar and Juhem Navarro-Rivera's review of numerous global studies on atheism, there are 450 to 500 million positive atheists and agnostics worldwide (7% of the world's population), with China having the most atheists in the world (200 million convinced atheists). Libertt: Well, I don't think it is so bad. Those adds are only at the last few chapters and if you mobile application, they don't exist. So it is not such a big deal in my opinion. The reason why QI is desparately trying to have as many as novels on their site is to have some kind of revunue, after all. There are many translators they pay for translations, they are not charity organization so they have to earn some kind of revunue. If watching a video for a few seconds will provide more novels for readers, I actually don't mind. It is much more better than paymentwall. I also despise their recent actions but this new system should be supported in my oppinion.

Generic_Student: Every country is not America where you are expected to be out of your parent's house by 18. Some people are below the age where they have no access to a bank account. Get that in your mind. Some of the novels are meant for younger audiences, I don't know for your country but majority of the young audience in my country do not have a method of payment available. Not everyone can be you where you had money because you worked at a young age. I was still in school when I was young. If you missed your education because you had to work, I'm really sorry for you. Seeing that you refuse to accept that there are different-minded people around you, I can only assume that you failed to be in school where other people had different ideas and ways to do stuff.
This translation site is not only for Americans like you. It is for everyone around the world and is operating on a "free" reading experience. With your propaganda, the word free can be removed, I just hope you fail.

Generic_Student: I may be an idealistic idiot but at least I can appreciate some things and I don't enforce my ideas onto others. I accept that other people have their own views and if I can, I try to let them see my side of the argument. If they still refuse to ackowledge what I say, there is not much I can do. It is idiotic to argue with someone who does not even try.
The translations of Rex, Bagelson, and many others started because they wanted to share what they can read. I don't know their purpose then but I hope it was to share what they can understand and bring it to those who can't. They were not paid then, it was a free translation. The difference between then and now is that there are loads of translators and a great number of readers.
It is true that it only began with the great number of readers. Only after they saw that there are many readers did QI began. They offered many translator offers and some translators accepted because it affected there daily lives and It could not support them fully. It was their choice and i support them because without them, i would not be able to read their translations if they stopped. Patreon was not a long time solution but it was a solution. The difference between then and now is some (maybe many) of the recent readers are too entitled too much. A few hours delay is not something you can accept. It is because of you that they had to leave their jobs to bring out many chapters at once because you think that just because you paid, they are at your beck and call. It was that attitude that made them leave their jobs, the high demand that they had to make. It was not that way before. People knew how to wait. Now, there are too many entitled people. Too many entitled people who believe that what they have should not be shared just because they paid for it.
I can be an idealistic idiot but at least i do something to change the world into my ideal world instead of accepting the harsh reality and doing nothing to change it.

Generic_Student: Some translators still do it for free but if you were to read their works, I'm sure that you offer a generous price to read it, seeing that you are a full-blooded American who believes that everything has a price and it cannot be free. Gee, I wonder how much you owe your parents for bringing you up for your childhood. Since that you don't know that there can be free things that can be appreciated, why don't you start by appreciating this message I sent you? And don't forget to pay your parents for everything they gave you since that you haven't paid them in full yet.

Generic_Student: Why the hell are you just responding now? Is it because you were not paid enough the first time to force your mindset unto others?
If you're gonna argue that you werr just checking who is still here after going against you words, it's because some translations are still free. A daily login, power stone and energy stone can make SS.

Just realized where my comment started from, think I'm going to have to change that statement xD. My original meaning should have been that writers profit greatly from people reviewing their work because (the ones that write a decent review) points out the good and the bad in the novel for the readers which also helps the writer. I mean my review on this was 3 stars and I wrote why people would be discouraged reading this novel. The author replied saying thank you for the review. But yes it is not the job of the reviewer to give advice directly to the author I just like doing so I guess, thank you by the way for being somebody that's reasonable, so hard to find those kind of people online. View More

whoknows: I said "It's not the job a reviewer to give advice..." You said "Actually it is." Clearly you believe that reviewers are required to give advice.
Regardless, I've never said that authors can't use reviews to help guide their writing, but as you said, it's indirect, i.e. not the purpose of the review. As for the people who give poor reviews, I would argue that there are an equal amount that give 5 star reviews that are equally unhelpful.
At the end of the day, they are all just giving their opinion in order to inform potential readers. They don't have to, nor should they be obliged to help the author. Naturally it would be nice if they could, but it's still up to them.

Mistborn: I really loved this novel in the beginning and tried to stick with it. Translation quality and speed are great. But I just can’t take it anymore with the ever expanding list of names of people and places. I was getting so confused and just had to drop this. So many freaking characters. Does real Chinese readers in fact actually know about most of these historical figures and time periods etc? I think my brain cells not sufficient to process this over stuffed info dump of a novel. Real shame

I understand what you are saying but my argument isn't that reviews are supposed to give advice but generally you give a review and point out the bad parts in the story hence you are indirectly helping the author by giving a review, ofc if you just say bad novel don't read and give it 1 star then you are just being a dick. You would notice most reviews point out that the novel is bad I hate people that write like 2 words and say good novel/bad novel because they don't help at all id rather somebody tell me why its good or bad. Also at no point in time did I say that the person reviewing is required to do anything. View More

whoknows: I'm sorry but it's ridiculous to claim reviewers are under any obligation to help authors; they are there to help inform potential readers, that is the reason they exist.
Sure, there's nothing saying they can't provide helpful advice should they wish to, but whether they choose to or not is their prerogative - it's not something they are required to do.

So considering that the person writing this novel i'm being a bit lenient with my review. The English is barely readable but since I've read tons apon tons of bad translations it doesn't bother me that much my mind basically auto corrects it as a I read. I like the style of writing used by the author but the level of writing is quite low. The story lacks a lot of depths in pretty much all fields and to be honest I would think that the best way to improve that would be for the author to take the time to rewrite the entire novel and fix the mistakes add depth to characters and just improve the system that he/she is using. If he/she did that I think this would have been a great novel or to even release experimental parts o the story and his/her thoughts on what to do with the plot then get feedback from the readers.
