Just thought I should add a bit more to my comment. The road of cultivation is equally harsh for everyone not just the MC. So it only makes sense if the women the MC encounters are stronger, more independent, more cultivation and/or battle focused and less interested in romance in general. They don't need an MC to depend on as they have worked hard to get where they currently are. I like to read a lot of novels with eastern cultivation fantasy as well as some with RPG elements. My favourites being novels with a strong, hardworking & independent female protagonist (male mc is a bit too mainstream). Less face slapping & medicine making and more bone breaking, cultivation & pill refining :)
