I see so many complaints about nationalism on Webnovel but these people don't understand the language, the history, the people, mundane things are seen as extraordinary simply because it's not seen through the Western lens of anglo-centrism, because it's different from what they know.
There is certainly a lot of nationalism in many novels, but then many things are also just an artefact of translation from the original language, whether because the translator is bad and MTL'd it or because they found it more suitable to keep it as it is instead of saying China, which it isn't strictly because this is an alternate universe so it makes perfect sense.
When they saw foreign players using VPN to play "Dead Cells" in the Greater Xia region, everyone was stunned.

Commented Well, she did learn from his older brother on the penal planet so it's understandable, who knows, maybe his younger brother sent him there personally and stole his research notes to work on them himself too. The actual application plan for the same extract probably differs greatly though due to the difference in expertise, I really wonder how Long Qin gets out of this and slaps this old troublemaker in the face.
This is a really nice book with such a unique sci-fi setting, distinct, memorable characters, and such a suspenseful/dramatic premise. I don't have very high hopes for it being picked from Webnovel's history, but this is definitely my favorite out of all the current trial novels and I really wish it'll one day have all its chapters translated for us to read.
