Yup, trust Asuna to go for aesthetics over stats. In that, she and Kirito were exact opposites. The swordsman would wear a pink tutu in battle if it gave him better attributes. Though, Drifter could guess the stats of << Spring Breeze >> were good just by looking at it. The rapier was a work of art, and a deadly one on top of that. So, Drifter asked the only thing he could, to the groans of the Reavers.

(A/N: Normally I don't like to interrupt in the middle of the chapter since it breaks the flow, but I few like this is important, at least to some people. I am aware that, in canon, the boss room was flooded and the door closed, until Kirito and Asuna opened it and saved everyone. I'll be changing that, since SAO didn't have closed boss rooms until the 75th floor. This is actually a major plot point of the anime, because the entire scout party gets annihilated when they get trapped in the boss room, and the frontliners then realize that, from that point onward, every boss battle is do or die. I don't know if having the 4th floor have closed doors was a mistake or not, but in this fic, doors will be opened the entire time. Just thought I would explain that before someone pointed it out.)

On a similar note, Kirito is hard to write too. At the start of SAO, he was kind of a shut-in, after what happened with Klein. But he is also the main character. So I have to write him as someone who doesn't speak much, but also has enough presence. I don't want to have Drifter overshadow Kirito. Like I said, it's hard. Tell me what you thought of this chapter, and please give suggestions!
